Unable to list guild in Guild Finder

Hello, I just became guild master of an existing guild, but I’m unable to list my guild in Guild Finder. Every time I try, I get the error message: “You do not have permission to post.” I’m currently the only member and am at Rank 1 (Guild Master), so I don’t know if there are permissions I have to adjust.

I also keep getting the error message: “You do not have permission to view the applicant list,” every time I click on any of the guild tabs. I have already reset my interface and removed all my add-ons, but I am still having these issues. When I try to submit a ticket in-game, it won’t let me past the step (3) Tell Us about the Issue.

If I could get some help with this, I’d greatly appreciate it.

Lets try a full UI reset to rule that out

Oh, that’s the article I followed to do the full reset (and I just tried it a second time), but I’m unfortunately still having these issues.

Also, I have no previous experience as a Guild Master, but is it possible that I need to be exalted with my own guild even as Guild Master to perform any recruitment actions? I’m looking at the Guild Rewards list under the Perks tab, and the previous Guild Master and members had unlocked some of the rewards, but it’s giving me the text “Requires: Friendly/Honored/Exalted with guild.”

No you do not need to be exalted to perform any actions with a guild you own. As soon as you are the guild master, you should have the ability to do as you please with the guild and its’ controls.

Do you have an authenicator? If you took over the guild from a previous owner, there may have been some settings that might’ve “bugged out” a bit.

There is a way to view the old guild interface by typing /groster . This may provide a slight workaround with your problems, but no guarantees.

Yes, I have my authenticator on my phone, and I hadn’t thought about how that might have caused some settings to glitch. Thanks for the tip about bringing up the old guild interface; although I wasn’t able to fix the problems, I did see that it said the guild was listed even though the new interface said it wasn’t, so maybe the disparity scrambled the settings somehow (apparently this guild had been offline for the past five years).

I unlisted it on the old interface and still got the error messages when I tried listing through the new Guild Finder, but another player in-game just told me that it took 48 hours for them to gain full control of a guild that they also inherited, so I’ll try waiting that amount of time and see if the bugs work themselves out.

I dont mean to resurrect this post, but I’m having this issue now on a guild I just created. Created it on an Alt and transferred control to my alliance main and am now having this issue.

Was the issue fixed for you? What needed tk be done?

Thanks.

I dont think the OP is coming back its sometimes better to start a new thread as things change from then and now and the post above you said it worked after 48hrs.

OP never came back… I’d take that as a sign that the 48 hour wait worked.
