Unable to find Behsten <Experience Eliminator> in Stormwind Keep

I am currently trying to turn off my experience gains on my level 45 character so I don’t get locked out of Chromie time, but the experience eliminator is nowhere to be found.

I am currently in the Shadowlands timeline, but the Keep appears mostly empty except for the room that is nearest the entrance where Anduin and other NPCs are. The actual throne room is empty except for two guards in front of the garden and the easternmost room that Behsten should be in is empty.

I heard that having the BFA introductory quests can cause something like this to happen, and noticed that I had The Nation of Kul Tiras active, but I abandoned it and it shows now that the quest can be picked up again by Anduin, and Jaina now appears in the room with him, but the rest of the Keep is still empty.

I tried going in and out of Stockades just to see if going into another instance would help, and tried logging out of my toon and into another one, and the Keep appears to be normal on her.

I did start the Legion story, but all of my quests for it are in the Broken Isles and Dalaran now, so I don’t see how anything from that xpac could be affecting it since there don’t seem to be any quests that take part in the Keep now.

Should I submit a bug report for this? If this is a known issue or if there are any workarounds for this, please let me know.

Stormwind has a LOT of phasing based on progress in quests.

That is most likely what is going on with this.

That does make sense. I made a note of all the quests I have active, so would abandoning them all and then picking them up again help, or would that cause more problems?

Really depends if you’ve started a set. If you have, no - you need to finish so the phasing ends.

If you haven’t - that could work. Can’t hurt to try - you can always go back to pickup a quest you abandon.

Really just depends.

I see. So would the Warrior campaign and the Stormheim quests be considered sets then? because those are currently all I have active.

If there are any in the area that you have started and not finished - I’d give that a go first. Even if you abandoned something, if it was started.

I see. I suppose I could try to finish the ones that I’ve started without picking up the next ones, but if I have to finish the entire questlines, I’d probably go over level 50 which would defeat the point of stopping experience gain.

Starting either the Darkshore or the BFA intro questlines will phase the area where Behsten resides. Abandoning “The Nation of Kul Tiras” wouldn’t change the phase back.

It should return the area to normal once you complete that quest.

I just experienced the same issue. I looked around to see if he went to another area while the BFA scenario was in effect to no success. I talked to Anduin to continue the quest and followed Jaina. i am now able to skip the next part, so i did. i follow the quest until i select the map and go to the place i have selected. i completed the first little bit of the area, then hearth back to stormwind. i also select the Northrend timeline because i am level 25 on that toon, and go back to the castle where the area is back to normal and i am able to stop my XP gain for 10G.

Would be better if you could create a new thread instead of reviving a 2 year old thread.

Please be mindful of the dates alot has changed in teh 2yrs that this was last used better to start a new thread or post in bugs then necro necromancy was 2 expansions ago.
