since the pre-expansion patch my character is unable to disenchant items. any solutions
Any errors, and have you completely reset your UI since patch day?

I haven’t seen any specific issues with disenchanting, Feided. I’d agree with Kozzae, try resetting your UI to see if that allows you to disenchant again.

I just reset the ui. Did not fix.
For me this is only happening on new chatacters i make. My older higher level enchanters dont seem to have any issues, but all my newer ones in shadowlands do.

I sent a bug report about this two months ago, but the problem continues.
Have you tried a full UI reset? Are you unable to disenchant anything at all? Is it limited to a specific expansion’s items? Which character is it on, just in case one of our SFAs pop in and want to try and take a peek?
What was the issue back when this thread was created was resolved. It’s why necroing a thread older than two weeks isn’t a good idea due to the fact that there have been umpteen hotfixes and updates and new bugs that have come and gone.
But if you can provide more information, that would help a great deal.
There isn’t any active issues with enchanting/disenchanting at this time. The most recent issue was limited to not being able to enchant vellum and that was resolved pretty quickly. I say all of this as someone with three active enchanters that I’ve yet to have any hiccup with personally, and just by seeing what comes through here.
So it sounds like it may be something buggy with your character directly.
If you haven’t yet, please do try the full UI reset as outlined by the article Kozzae had linked above, and let us know if that clears it up.
