I’ve been trying to create a new character on Mal Ganis. When i try to change realms it just logs me back in to Kel Thuzad. Is there currently an issue with this or am i missing something? Thank you for the response / help.

If i make a horde character on Kel thuzad can i join a horde guild on mal ganis and have no trading restrictions ect is what im asking. I want to play with some friends.
Yes to this.
And mostly yes to this. Cross-faction trading isn’t available in the open world, but can be worked around in instances.

That’s great but if possible i would still like to home this so to speak, still can’t join this server but a friend of mine who just downloaded the game got on it np. It keep putting me back on kel thuzad
Edit: This happens no matter the realm i select
So what exactly happens when you try to change realms? The character select screen won’t look any different, because it shows all your characters on all realms now. After you choose the realm, when you mouse over the Create Character button, it should show the new realm you chose, which is where the new character will be created. To confirm, after you click the button and go to the character creation screen, it will show the realm where you’re making the new character in the lower right corner.
If that’s not what you’re seeing, I’d maybe try a UI reset next.

Do you have a character on the realm that you are trying to get to? With the new warbands your realms will switch if you select the character on the realm you are trying to get to. This is on Retail.
Again Retail: For example I am logged into MG and I want to switch to a character on WRA, I only need to select the WRA character and the game will switch servers for me.
