Unable to buy WoW Token on AH

I recently bought a few token on classic when they came out not realizing that they couldn’t be redeemed for battle.net balance, so I went onto retail to buy tokens there but I just get an error when I try to buy on the retail AH that says

“All WoW Tokens bought from the Shop must be sold before you can buy one from the auction house.”

I can’t tell you the last time I bought a token from the shop, I’ve tried checking all my retail characters for the token in question but, I can’t find one anywhere, on classic or retail.

Any help would be appreciated.

Think u gota use the classic tokens before u can buy more. im also pretty sure the retail ones cant be used for balance either.

I have redeemed all of my classic tokens and the retail ones can definitely be used for battle.net balance.

It was not :frowning:

You have an unused one on your WoW 2 - on a level one Shaman.

Found it, but I can’t use it? So I have a token that I can only sell on the AH and not redeem, but I can’t sell on the AH cause I don’t have time, and I don’t have time because I can’t buy one because I can’t redeem or get rid of this one?

Well, yes. That is the loop you seem to be in. A level 1 on an account with no gametime can be accessed, but it will not be able to use the AH.

You can try to open a ticket and ask for a day of game time on that account to put the token on the AH. I’m not sure if they will do this, but they have done it in the past for players to gather gold to purchase a token for gametime.
