Every time I log in with any character, my custom ui layout has reset itself with one of the action bars off in the far upper left corner instead of attached to the other two on the far right of my screen. I can move it and save the layout, or I can switch to another layout and then back to the preferred one and it will be fine until I logout or quit again.

Alt + F4 usually
You should log out normally, settings will not save correctly if you just force close the game.

Good idea, but I just tested that and I have before too but wanted to be sure, same result with esc + Exit Game

I get the same issue as well. Disabled all addons and still have the issue. Nothing that Iāve found fixes it.

Iām still having this problem. It went away for a few months then suddenly returned in the last couple weeks. Iāve tried deleting the settings in the wtf/account folder (edit-mode-cache-account) but that doesnāt help. My saved layouts are there, it just moves the extra action bars to the top left every logoff and I have to re-select my saved layout. Actually I have to have 2 of the exact same layout because when I log in it thinks Iām using the saved layout so I had to make an identical one to switch back and forth between (since I canāt āreapplyā the current one).
This is INCREDIBLY frustrating.

I am having this exact same problem, action bar 6 is reset to the upper left of the screen every time I log in. I can put it back to where I want it and save again, and it will be ok for a while. For some reason I canāt fathom, it will reset again after I do a WQ pet battle?
Itās very disruptive to gameplay.

Iāve been encountering this bug on multiple characters unfortunately. Itās bad enough that every major patch seems to reset the UI for every character I have, as well as every spec each character has. I also logout normally, with either /logout or /exit.

yeah, Iām having the same issues like BLUDD does. Itās a temporary fixable thing but after you log out and log in back itās the same thing again and not just one characters but every single of them. But even though you can temporarily fix it, it could be very annoying if you doing it the same thing over and over. this is the first time I encountered like this. I reported or put a ticket on it but it didnāt help at all and the instruction It was given to me is same trouble shooting I did prior reporting it to them. I hope they will look into this matter because Iām getting tired of it already. Also, it not just the action bar is affected but also the Objectives Tracker. It stay on the same spot as the action bar on the top left corner of my screen. I hope the developer is reading this because we deserve a good service for our money we pay for this game.
I have this same problem. I have deleted the entire game, reinstalled without any addons and it still occurs on every UI reload. I also notice that Character specific custom layouts cannot be deleted. Account custom layouts are able to be deleted. Please expedite a fix.

Not sure if this will work for anyone else but it accidentally fixed my issues with that that have been going on on every character since the anniversary patch. Hopefully this might work for some of you anyway as that bug was driving me nuts.
I had that issue for weeks. Yesterday it finally resolved. Not sure if it was because I downloaded a mod called hekili or because after I downloaded the mod I pulled my action bar one lower and each of the corresponding action bars after the first one so i could see the addon icons. So Try within your preferred ui save to move the action bar 1 lower and then re line up the rest and save. I wouldnāt have thought that would fix mine as id given up trying but it did work for me after that.
I found a way to fix this on my system. I suspect that my custom layout became corrupted somehow, but I had an export string from before the bug started, so I did this:
- Switch to a Blizzard default layout and /reload
- delete my custom layout and import a new copy.

I tried with all my mods disabled and still had the issue, but moving the frames 1 pixel did the trickā¦ What the heck. Thank you 
Really wish Blizzard could figure this out and not have us coming up with these goofy solutions.

so clearly Blizz doesnt know whats going on, or it would have been patched alreadyā¦ 
that being said, my work around was making a duplicate of my layout and loading that each timeā¦
the irony here is, that people have been coming up with various solutions to a common problem, all of which havent worked for meā¦
(even after the complete uninstall and then pondering if i want to reinstallā¦

This is happening to me too. It feels like when you switch to the game, it lays out the UI before the correct screen size is applied, and then reapplying the same UI settings will fix it (which sucks, because it means i have to open the editor and switch profiles back and forth every time).
Hopefully blizz can get this figured out soon, its been broken for me since the anniversary patch.
Same problem. One bar in the top left. Itās been going on for weeks. Anniversary patch def caused the problem. Itās annoying when trying to game on multiple alts or when rushing to log on for raid night. Every time I log onto a character it requires a fix, any time I /reload it requires a fix. With or without addons. When I run Grim Batol and dismount from the dragon, my bars get messed up, so I need to type /reload and my UI will go back to one bar at the top which I then have to stop and fix. This is extremely frustrating in high keys.
Iāve reported it as a bug multiple times via the in game ticket system. Havenāt heard anything back yet.
This is STILL happening with 10.1.7.
I have done a full UI reset and it still happens.
Yep im still in disbelief this is happening. No matter who i log in on and log out of even just to change character it does this.
