I just ran a dungeon with a guildie, he was tanking.
The Arms Warrior that was below my grandma in damage, well he made our top DPS player leave the dungeon randomly. Then after that, he proceeds to type “I TANK”, respecs, then immediately runs into the next pack before my guildie tank can respond.
Yeah bro, “get a guild” is DEFINITELY the remedy and solution and miracle you think it is, for sure, it will solve all my woes!!! Even though I don’t get off work until the AM and have no one to play with, I would have to constantly search for a guild, you don’t even know what you’re suggesting, aka offering me a fallacy without committing any thought. Happens a lot around here.
TBC had a much higher barrier to entry. 60-70 takes far longer than 80-85.
Also consider the fact that both TBC and Vanilla were far less alt friendly. I doubt many of those first few weeks of logging for either had players with multiple toons, especially compared to Cata where you can see a half dozen of the same guilds logs in the first 2 pages.
Probably because as a PvPer I don’t HAVE to raid I can just PvP. So I’ll never step foot into a raid, I have no reason to outside the small chance of an item in BH which I will just forgo because I don’t wanna do PvE.
Heals and tanks jump in, clear the valor for the week on Tues or Wed (after reset) and they are off raiding. I’m not queueing for RDF for anything other than Valor. I was working on rep but that is all finished.
I only directly called any specific person a retail andy who used the term classic andy referring, as we’ve been over. Which as weve been over time and time again, seemed to go over your head because you agreed with that person. You have no issues with that term because you agreed with them, it’s only when you don’t agree with the person that you suddenly have outrage.
The numbers are evidence, consistent with the sentiment of the classic community. Cataclysm being less popular than vanilla-tbc-wrath shows very clearly there is less interest in it. It’s literally when the old world was razed and destroyed and you had a massive shift in the genre of game WoW was, it should be no shock to you it doesn’t appeal to players who enjoyed the old school MMO features that people asked for vanilla WoW for.
“Evidence against my narrative is arbitrary”, cata is less popular dude, get over it. This has been a consistent pattern, early in expansion is generally the peak. Not a good sign for cata numbers thus far.
This is just straight denialism lol. Numbers you don’t like must be fake.
What’s ironic is this is you. You haven’t provided a single counter argument to anything. Just “no thats wrong”, pure emotion.
Since you seem a bit slow, i’ll break this down in simple chunks for you to understand:
Players that play retail: will pay for a sub to play retail if classic did not exist.
Retail sub provides access to classic: means people who play retail will pay that same sub no matter what.
Classic is profitable because it brings in players who don’t like retail and would never pay a sub to play retail. If the only people who played classic were people who played retail, blizzard would make 0 profit off of classic unnless they made it a seperate subscription.
Therefore, unless blizzard seperates classic from the retail sub: retail players are financially irrelevant to classic. They provide 0 profit to the classic project.
I like just how dumb you’ve gotta be to think comparing a game sub to taxes is somehow a highbrow thought. Like you have no say on how taxes are spent, who you vote in to represent them taxes, and how them taxes spent benefit you and your community. Whereas a WoW sub is so you can play a game for a company you hate, and that hates you. Mentally stunted as most modern WoW types tend to be.
