Blizzard, we are 9 months into Dragonflight. What is the deal with having the elemental lariat design having a 0.1% drop chance on only 4 rare mobs that may or may not spawn during the 2 hour elemental storm window? As of right now, there are ZERO lariats on the AH and a few weeks ago the only one on there was selling for 3 million gold.
That’s bonkers stupid.
Please allow for the elemental lariat design to drop from any mobs in the elemental storm
as jewelcrafter myself i just gave up on it with first content patch that made people not do storms. It’s just not going to happen and i will have to use normal crafted neck
The last one I saw on the Trollbane AH(not sure if server matter here) was priced around 9million gold. Going to take a lot of lariats to cover that initial investment. Won’t help that some of the recent guides are suggesting that there are better choices now.
IMO at this point in time, the Lariat has just about run its course. It would be risky to drop 3-9mil gold on the design for it and attempt to break even, let alone start making profit.

Since they nerfed it, there have been some better options for some specs. I expect it to be completely obsolete by 10.2, which is this fall, so… imo, not worth the time.
I have one that I’m probably going to recraft to higher ilvl, but that’s because I don’t play M+ so my chances of getting a champion track neck are pretty slim.
I want to get all my gear to ilvl437 before the first of the year.
Maybe I get lucky, maybe not we see how it goes.
I’m doing great so far. No complaints from me at all about my gearing experience this expansion so far.
Lariat is very powerful for my class…it scales well with elemental chaos phials as well…it probably depends on your role, since some embellishments are trash

Its terrible now, no one actually uses it. Dont bother getting it. The nerfs buried it as garbage bin tier craft.
there’s not a better choice when it comes to necklaces…it comes down to which 2 embelishments are best for your role. item to item - the lariat will be better than anything else for Resto druid, plus you customize the stats. that’s just a fact.

it’s a listed S tier item for me, and it’s used in higher levels (for those that are wondering). 
i was responding in general to the players advising the item isn’t worth it…which isn’t true. 
I agree with the advice don’t pay too much if one has to buy it from AH as sales are down for this item for many reasons.
Also, if it’s good for your class then by all means get one crafted, I would. Actually did have one made for me . Got the 3 gem setting for it and all the gems also
I’m not much into theorycraft so I just read the guides and run the simc thingy to see if messed up or not.
edit: as far as drop rates go, yeah, at this point it should be 25% drop from anything in an elemental storm.
I agree. It’s well past-time to allow others a better chance at acquiring this recipe without spending millions of gold.

I mean, you have no idea how long that fish sat on the shelf at the AH.
I imagine fish sits for a very long time when the greedy goblins mark them up to 180 gold a piece. Take-out is cheaper in WoW.
It is way too common and over produced the drop rate should be reduced by a ton.

Still does not change fact it is overproduced and an easy drop.
is this thing people want something that makes gear or upgrades gear? cause if it crafts gear i say buff the drop rate cause i wanna unlock cosmetics, if it isn’t something like that than uh i’ll let the professionals debate.
