Gearing is pointless, just wait like 3 years and you’ll be able to solo everything probably.
Don’t understand the appeal of gearing if you don’t want to actually do anything with it.

I’m still undergeared but even a +8 tree boss in Academy was a god damned mess. Evoker only has so many cooldowns, and then they’re kinda fish in the water for a minute, but the raid damage once the poisons kick in is just too much to do anything about. Literally eat through my cooldowns and have nothing left to use. Fortified was a joke in comparison at the same key level.
Granted I’m sure people could have been better about using the tree thing to cleanse poisons or stacking better to kill adds faster or whatever, but still.
I don’t understand all of the crying. It’s 2 weeks into a ~9 month season. Season 1 is always the hardest because of the gear gap from leveling to M+.
Guess what, Shadowlands was tuned harder than BFA too. I suggest you severely re-evaluate your expectations.
Yes, and everything in WoW is technically just a bunch of worthless pixels. If we go down that path, why does the very concept of video games even exist at all?
I play wow to enjoy the challenges of the season. It’s not to collect gear that’s going to be outdated in less than a year. What’s the point really in raising ilvl if you’re not doing anything with it?
He exposed himself to only playing M+ in BFA, probably with the peak of corruptions and borrowed power. I wonder what would have happened if he played Shadowlands Season 1 which was tuned much harder than Dragonflight is now.
And what’s the point of a fake challenge in a digital world lol, go start a company or something loser.
See how easy it is to say that something is worthless? And how little it contributes to a conversation?
lol what? What is that leap.
What leap lol. If you can just declare that gears are pointless, then I can also declare that jumping through pixelated hoops is pointless as well. Or are you really so sick in the head that you genuinely believe people get no joy from receiving loot in a loot-based game?
i mean doesn’t the key level also increase the damage the bosses do? so you have 15% from tyrannical and then another XX% from the key itself
If you just want loot, go bootup an idle game. All you do there is literally open loot.
I do, and it’s something I warned about when they announced the new scaling. Basically you’ve had people that were able to easily transition into 15s at the start of each season suddenly struggle to get above a 12. I’ve kept my criticisms generally focused on what I perceive to be silly (40/40 change and universal tank nerf) as the dungeons are still being tuned. This week feels a lot better as a tank than last week although some bosses are clearly still FUBAR.
Do I think the tuning is completely messed up? Yes but that was guaranteed to be a thing in any season. I stand by my position I said when they announced the scaling changes that I thought they were a bad move. But we’ll need at least another two weeks to see if blizz has gone off the deep end this season IMO.
And guess what? SL also flopped harder than BFA too lmao. Raiding is cringe, and giving people the option of not raiding at all was the saving grace of that expac lol.
Tyrannical is still 15% more compared to non-tyrannical.
Ah yes, because I am able to feel joy when I receive an item upgrade, that must also mean I have zero care for the combat of this game, the classes and specs of this game, the aesthetics of this game, and everything else tied to WoW. Such intriguing arguments you make.
i’m…not saying it isn’t?
It was a good move to level the playing field for M+ players and raiders. Coming from someone who doesn’t raid, I acknowledge M+ gearing made raids under Mythic pointless in terms of gear.
You still don’t have to raid.
So bosses aren’t going to do 100% more damage because of key multipliers when compared to the non-tyrannical equivalent.
What are you talking about, tier sets are back lol.
Oh I get the motivation, I just disagree on the solution. I think they should have made both just give a currency instead. That is a hill I’m standing on until someone can show me I’m wrong. I also think they should have changed how raid lockouts work to be more rewarding. I think the entire raid rewards structure is obsolete at this point.
