It wasn’t planyed by nelves, but their agreement with the dragons made them their caretakers. The first tree planted by nelves was teldrassil which was cleansed, blessed and perfectly fine until horde burned it

Lycea, don’t waste your time. You’re arguing with a guy who insisted Suramar was right next to the Well of Eternity, built around it in fact and only survived the sundering because of “reasons”, refused to accept a Blizzard-created pre-Sundering map that showed it was not, and then argued that proximate and near are not synonymous.

You are righ, no point in arguing…

Well, if as a job, I was given the marching orders by Blizz to make Tyrande a Villian (yuck, for the record I like Tyrande and hate her as a villian), how I would probably do it was that after the burning of Teld, she felt that Elune actually abandoned her in her heart. N’Zoth may have gotten his tentacly grasp on the Elves in some way with Azshara (all elves) but he only converted some of them. By abandoning Elune in her heart, even if she says the words while beseeching Elune, it actually allows N’Zoth to giver her a power boost instead because she had already given up on Elune. Remember she sacrificed that Orcs head? Sacrifices like that are very Old Gody. Heck, that is what the Xal’atath was all about. A dagger for sacrifices to the Old Gods. The Night Warrior is also mentioned as being used to forge the Night Elf Empire, which means it has only been used since the Sundering 10,000 years ago. Keep in mind the timeline states that Malfurion and company really starts to kick off 9,400 years ago… and it was during the Sundering that N’Zoth really got involved with Azshara. Thus, N’Zoth is actually the source of the Night Warrior.

Of course that is just how I would write it if Blizz forced me to make her into a villain. Is the above writing true? shrugs Speculating is fun sometimes.

I’m glad I made horde alts so I know that not all hordies are like that and the most part are super nice and care about the lore and the story, because people like that are tiresome

That is an excellent course and if they made her a villain that way it wouldn’t be so bad, I would actually enjoy it a little bit. But I also would love the idea of a goddess that can be merciful or merciless, not so much black and white… Like kind of preceding the separation between light and void?

Just to close the loop on the trees though, Oakheart survived the Sundering (meaning pre-Nordrassil) and was formed from an offshoot of Shaladrassil. This definitively dates Shaladrassil as older than Nordrassil.

Yeah, and if I remember correctly one of the quests states that who planted it is unknown…

It would also explain how Old God/Void stuff keeps futzing with Night Elf stuff, like corrupting the world trees, corrupting the Emerald Dream, Ysera’s dragon buddies (remember the Nightmare Dragons anybody?) That stuff keeps happening because N’Zoth would have had a tentacle around the Night Elves feet ever since Azshara and has never really let go. N’Zoth has always played the long game after all. It would also explain the seemingly dual nature of Elune. Elune is Light, N’Zoth is dark. That would also explain why after getting rid of the Nightmare corruption from Ysera and Elune then made her part of the sky. N’Zoth lost control of Ysera and her soul was back in the hands of Elune. As far as I can tell, it all would fit really.

That said, having Elune be a dual-natured Goddess would be interesting mostly because I can’t think of a single God/Goddess in the Warcraft lore that would be an example of such a being.

She’s right about the need to take Sylvanas down once and for all.
As long as she is allowed to run free, she will be a danger to all life on Azeroth.

It is also understandable from her point of view to be sceptical of the Horde’s ability to remain stable enough not to fall under the control of evil. She just had her sacred home burned down, and that wound would still be fresh.

She’s nuts too. Elune is probably a void lord is what I’m saying.

I mean if another country charged into mine, commiting mass genocide and burning the capital city to the ground. I can’t honestly say that that country changing leaders would magically make me get over it.

She more than likely isn’t, I’d have to dig it up but I think a dev made it clear that she wasn’t (otherwise we would have two flavors of void elves)

Elune really needs to be kept a mystery. Other wise rule of cool will either make her seem underwhelming and further subvert all expectations, or they will make her a corrupted diety and a raid boss… all bad.

The only revelation she needs to make, is one to Tyrande, she is the chosen of elune.

Nu uh! you can count on the Rendorei to be on the front lines with to teach those thalassian and shalassian elves a lesson they need to learn. We support our kaldorei cousins !00%

A Void Lord created the Naaru during the ordering of creation? Please, tell me more.

I agree that she isn’t crazy, she’s just dumb in typical Tyrande fashion.

Not happening.

lol WHAAAAAAAT?!

Oh I don’t think so buddy. Tyrande is a lot stronger than sylvannas.

And nah a cinematic won’t convince me that a dark ranger is stronger than a priestess of the moon. War3 player
