Many of who were in there because, ya know, they were genocidal murderers.

This was all pre-BFA, which showed that even Jaina’s mother believed he was slain for no reason, now pretty much sides with Jaina. This means the regular citizen probably would side with Jaina if they knew the truth to. Also his Stormwind statue was removed in Cata.

The factions exist because of each other. Just delete them already, they hurt gameplay.

The only way to get what you are describing now is to play Classic. Retail WoW has the baggage of the escalating conflict with no believable resolution, and a this obsessive need to pretend that an MMO is a Marvel comic with faction leaders.

If it means anything, it seems like Madeline Roux is equally fed up, given that she wrote Baine telling Tyrande off.

I really wish they’d give her more influence. I don’t care how many gay couples she crowbars in anything she writes would be better than the drek we’re currently dealing with.

there’s a lot of bruh moments in here

When did this happen?

Shadows Rising

That’s a pretty bold assumption. They never thought Daelin was killed for ‘no reason’. Everyone knows per Chronicle 3 and Reunion that he was chasing the Horde and they killed him. And beyond this, Katherine has shown no sign of not loving her husband in spite of everything. His grave is still popularly visited. His statue is still up in Boralus. (I assume the Stormwind one was moved for space since they use that room so much now, not from some change in sentiment in Cataclysm.) They aren’t talking about changing the name of Fort Daelin.

How much do they have to wank him off?

But where in it?

That part where he and Thrall go to Mt. Hyjal to discuss the disturbances in the spirit realm and Tyrande stonewalls them.

I think this is probably “one” (from many mention before) of the biggest issue with the story and the writers they been hiring or have been working on Blizz right now. (IMO) Well said…

The theft of the bell and its transport through Dalaran were the reason why the purge happened. Aethas Sunreaver did not do either of those things. --Yes, he found out about the transport after it was in progress, but that doesn’t make him responsible for it happening in the first place.

You did absolutely say that the elves are responsible.

Are you going to try to say that “responsible” and “at fault” don’t mean the same thing?

They already do. He’s a freakin’ hero in Kul Tiras, with a giant statue and multiple things being named after him (Daelin’s Gate, Daelin’s Rest). Not to mention all the “Daelin was right” threads we’ve seen on this very forum.

Oops, you’re right, my bad. But Orgrim Doomhammer still did a lot of good things for the orcs (Kaileath mentioned some of them).

You know, I don’t get it.

At the time at which you created your character, the Horde had already done like, 6-7 racial purges. You’re selecting the equivalent of the Sith Empire at character creation and you’re like, “Hang on… Why are you saying I’m the bad guy?”

It’s even in the lyrics to “Daughter of the Sea,” although that makes it sound like he was looking for Jaina and just happened to find the Horde while doing so:

When she did flee across the ocean deep,
The admiral followed west
What else but sail to save a
Daughter’s life and pray she still drew breath?

But there he found upon those distant shores,
Enemies 'pon the rise!
But when he faced
Those savage foes
His daughter stood aside

And buried deep beneath the waves,
Betrayed by family,
To his nation with his last breath cried,
“Beware the daughter of the sea”

The Sith Empire aren’t made to feel bad about playing the evil faction.

There aren’t any quests where you watch your Sith boss apologise to the Jedi Council and then run around helping Jedi rescue padawans while they call you a monster.

That’s the difference. If it’s supposed to be an evil faction then say so and stop dancing around.

Playing as the Sith Empire actually generates infinitely more “faction pride” than playing as Horde now and it has nothing to do with what faction is evil.

Doing the quest line on Vulpera is hilariously jarring, cause they aren’t responsible for Teldrassil in anyway and they were pushed into the Horde because the Alliance, the Night Elves included, attacked them unprovoked. The writers very clearly didn’t consider all the possibilities.

Just like your tree was set on fire because you were actively fighting as an enemy.

First of all, I actually RP this guy as an an Amani. So… Yeah. The reason I went Necrolord on this toon was because I couldn’t create an in-game justification where this toon wouldn’t try to shove a runeblade into Tyrande’s back.

Second, I specified my Zandalari character.

Is it hypocritical to ally with the Blood Elves? Sure, though you still meet some Zandalari who spew some hate. You very much get the feeling that many are not thrilled with Rastakhans choice. It also doesn’t change the fact that it was the Night Elves who shattered the Empires of old and stole their land, handing the Trolls their greatest humiliations and led to a grudge nursed through thousands of years to the point Kal’dorei heads are considered collector items and toys for Zandalari youth. The Troll likely care about Teldrassil about as much as the Night Elves cared about Zul’drak or Zul’gurub.

False, they were giving supplies to the Horde, who were at war with the Alliance. If they were giving supplies to the Legion when we were at war with them you bet your butt we would attack them.

No because Jaina explicitly states that Aetha’s ‘betrayal’ is what caused her to realise the Sunreavers needed to go.

No he found out about the transport WHILE it was in progress then refused to tell Jaina who stole it so she had to find out herself.

My point is the perpetrator is a Blood Elf, so it makes no sense for any Blood Elf to whine about the purge being an attack against them by the Humans.

Only because it’s unclear how many people know the truth about him, as it was spelled out that Katherine Proudmoore wasn’t aware of the circumstances of his death. Meanwhile, every Orc knows that Doomhammer wanted to wipe out humanity.

Sylvanas literally planned to have Teldrassil destroyed from the start and made it look like it was her plan B because she’s smarter then every other Horde leader combined.
