So, Tyrael’s Charger. This is a mount that I see sometimes, and have seen since I started. I remember when I was brand new around cataclysm when I first joined and I got off a boat to some town in I think Durotar in Kalimdor, and I saw on a small hill 2 max level chads on their mounts, 1 was Invincible, and 1 was Tyraels Charger. The Charger caught my eye, and to me was a big symbol of absolute badassery. I craved that mount, unfortunately… It was a limited time item… For the following years I have completely pushed the mount to the back of my mind. I even got the mount which I considered second best, Invincible. But then I got curious, and looked up Tyrael’s charger. and I was H Y P E when I found the option to buy it on the blizzard store. but unfortunately, the only regions they sell to, are Korea and Taiwan? Why is this rare, time limited mount being sold in specific locations? Why do they get the mount and nobody else does? I’d respect it if it was totally time limited, I had been respecting that. But now I see that there are locations that apparently blizzard favor? Imo, this is just bluntly unfair. They should either completely sell the mount everywhere, or nowhere at all. perhaps sell it in the other regions for a limited amount of time to compensate them for the unfairness. but that’s just me wanting the mount lol. Basic idea of this topic is, why do Taiwan and Korea get to break the rules and buy the mount whenever they want, but everyone else has to deal with a time limit & never being able to get this mount?
Someone will come along shortly and explain it but it has something to do with legal restrictions in some country or territory on promotional items. I don’t really remember to be honest. I do wish you luck in getting one though!
Tyrael had a mount? Like diablo tyrael?
Basically like how china gets to copy whatever they want from American media with no consequences… I understand, not happy about it but I understand. Nonetheless my solution to Blizzard is just adding it to the store then instead of tolerating an obviously unfair system. But that’s just me.
China never had the “subscribe for a year, get the mount” deal, because the way they pay for the game is different. So, they never had the mount in the first place to be exclusive (for them). And since it’s a closed ecosystem, it’s not like you can buy it there and transfer over to another regions servers with it.
They should not bring this mount back. Blizzard told us this was an exclusive mount if we participated in the event. You missed the event or chose not to participate. Get over it.
Then Blizzard should negotiate with Taiwan and Korea to inform them how it’s unfair that they get to buy the mount & nobody else does, & take it off their store then never sell it again. Simple as that.
If they put the mount on the us store I want my refund for the year I didnt play just to get that mount. Hell no you snoozed you lose
Want it? Move to Korea or Taiwan?
No he didn’t, but it was part of a cross game promotion. Don’t remember the exact details, something like sign up for wow for 6 months and buy Diablo and you got the mount whose wings looked like his.
To the OP, personally I couldn’t care less if they popped it on the store. I love the mount and would like it if other people who love it too could get it someway.
We have nothing to do with them. Their events =/= our events and they don’t cross over.
This is one case where I do care. It was promised as an exclusive mount for participating.
I can understand that. It doesn’t bother me personally though. At the time I bought time in six month blocks and was planning on getting Diablo anyway to play with my brother in law, so I didn’t do anything out of the ordinary to get the mount.
Blizzard: “Dear China and Korea, please understand that I must now sell this mount in the U.S because it is unfair and now Nerum is upset. I hope you understand.”
It’s not China or Korea that cares, it’s Blizzard. It was a promotional mount to get you to do a specific thing and advertised as a limited window to do so… a very generous, limited window. Unfortunately you didn’t take advantage of that promotion and now it’s no longer available.
The mount was part of the Annual Pass promo, if you signed up for it you would get the mount, a copy of Diablo 3 and beta access to MoP. The reason they are available in Korea and Taiwan is because they never got that promo. Nothing unfair about it.
you only got it with the annual pass where as you had to sub for 1 year. i have it for that reason. I believe its not to be put in the store for that reason. Now other countries are different and blizzard changes things for them. have you ever seen the china version of wow? its toned down considerably.
I’m getting a hoes mad vibe, your post didn’t have to include that, I get your point. However I just spent about an hour or so arguing with somebody else over their attitude & I’m definitely cool with getting into another, If you can handle it, orc.
This is actually a very good point, whether I for one judge it as fair? Idk yet, haven’t fully balanced that out. Maybe it is, maybe it isn’t. For anyone who might think so however, I’m not saying “lets take over blizzard and force them to do what I want” I’m just 1 person waving the “put Tyraels Charger on the store” flag, not hitler suggesting any other action to get it on there. Im just here to say my suggestions and ask my questions & that’s it, & this was in general a good answer to my question.
There’s a difference between Aesthetically different and different gameplay, aesthetic doesn’t = an advantage on store loot
Sooooo you’re the one going on complaining about a long dead promotion like an entitled heiress but I’m the one with an attitude problem?
Bring it on buddy!
Because it wasn’t available as the limited package in those areas like it was for us. Different countries have different laws.
Couldn’t the same be said about anything else that was only for a limited time?
Can we also buy the Classic CE pets from the store?
What about bringing back old raid achievement mounts?
Old arena mounts?
I mean, they’re all cosmetic, right?
