I recon they will because with the drop rate being as low as it is, the majority of people won’t get it to drop, hopefully the trading post is the ‘back up’ plan for those.
It took me over 220 attemps but I saw on WoWhead one person mention 400 and no mount still

Presumably there is still a point. A trading post mount is still “fashionable”. As long as players who buy it have maybe a few years of exclusivity it would probably feel “worth it” without feeling like a scam from Blizzard.
I honestly want the mount and the 36 slot bag so badly lol. But then again, I am a pack rat.
I also hate the fact that the backpack covers the cape slot. That makes no sense to me. Can we get an extra slot, so that my backpack and my cape both show at the same time. Why does the backpack replace a cloak.

TBH I would be fine if it was actually put as a trading post mount (The advantage is that you get to use your limited tenders on other items) OR even if it became another Diablo event every say 10 years BUT what I don’t think it right is putting as a shop item then less than 6 months just giving away for free.

I think it’s actually really simple and I think blizzard understands this too. Things tied to spending money in the past or something that could easily be solo’d now if it weren’t for the content being removed IE old naxx mogs coming back are contenders for the trading post.
Things tied to In the moment special events in time, seasonal, or tied to difficulty of content achievements such as gladiator mounts, aotc mounts, cutting edge titles or mounts and achievements or special things like corrupted ash bringer or spectral tiger are off the table. They’ve made this pretty clear and if you really feel some kind of way that you spent money on something years ago and now someone can get it for free, that’s pretty silly. I’d feel a bit annoyed if you could get KSM or AOTC mounts from trading post but that simply isn’t what’s happening here.
I want to add that there IS a bonus here considering that you now have extra tendies to spend on other stuff. You’re essentially buying traders tender by proxy by owning a mount prior.

Yep my wife lost hers from the promotion because he account lapsed for a day so I am really happy she will be able to get it.
OMG, That happened to me. Purchased for both accounts, but one lapsed for a day. I put in ticket to back pay the day i missed, and the GM, kept saying, “you don’t need to back pay that day, since you are active.” And i kept saying, “yes i want to pay more”, but they would not let me back pay. I made the mistake of not logging in one day. That account also didn’t get the orc statue. Which my other account sold for $350 on eBay.
I also had the mount in inventory on several toons, so i transferred a toon to other account, both in same name, and enabled the mount, but then after beinga available for a day, it dissapeared, because i missed a day of payments on the diablo for that account…

Not happening. There’s a legally binding contract that blizz can be literally sued for if they dare try to return it. The legal mess would be ugly and not something blizz wants. If you dont know the history, they had to make a legally binding contract deal, that the winning side gets it for free then it never returns, a one time thing. But the loser kept theirs for 100,000 gold on vendor. Yeah I know its weird…but thats the jist of the contract deal.
