Poor Khadgar. I was really holding out hope he wasn’t going to be unalived.

So far, I’m enjoying questing and delves. And I like the NPC Dwarven chick with the beard.

Is he dead? Is Dalaran destroyed? That was either a protoss death warp thing or it was a huge teleportation spell. Kinda seems plausible it was teleportation. Although it is also probably true that he is dead and Dalaran is gone for good.

But Xal remarks about all the power. Why destroy it? Khadgar is a great repository of knowledge. Why squander it? We also only see his hand get disintegrated. Does the void disintegrate? Does it matter? Khadgar can live without a hand. But yeah he’s probably dead but I’m ready for him to come back because who knows around here, is all I’m saying.

Anyways, these robot dwarves are kind of a sad group. The island has a great atmosphere, and I’m definitely leaning towards heading back to Orgrimmar, grabbing a few airships, and conquering the whole place for the Horde.

If Khadgar comes back alive, then that’ll feel cheap.
You can only bring do a Chewbacca death fake-out so many times.

Honestly, I would prefer Khadgar remain dead not because I hate him…

but because he’s safer in the death Lore Hole. Blizzard’s writing cant reach him there since Shadowblands failed so hard, thankfully

With Tirion and Varian and Vol’jin.

Warcraft has never shied away from showing things as dead as a doornail. From Garrosh getting fried and the limp hand being shown afterwards to Varian getting turned into a 100,000 piece jigsaw puzzle and Vol’jin’s injustice.

I think Khadgar may become a warped monstrosity of void and arcane that we’ll need to put down.

Fast to level. New dungeons are nice, maybe because they’re different, though. Scale Commander is pretty cool but steering deep breath is clunky atm.

Eh its time to get rid of those boring characters.

Khadgar’s totally coming back as a Raid Boss. Maybe not in TWW, but definitely Midnight.

I think Void-Touched Dalaran is going to be a new Suramar.

Khadgar has gone to live on a farm.

Also agree that if it turns out he’s not dead, that’s cheap and lame. It’s such an overplayed thing at this point in every genre of everything, I wish people would stop doing it.

There’s … some rather heavy stuff in just the first zone. Its a nice blend of the light-hearted fluff-and-whipped-cream story of Dragonflight, with a ton of some rather nice inclusion and tackling some really heavy themes like dementia, aging populations with no children, religious fundamentalism falling apart and learning to let people go with dignity.

Leveling is fun and fast and Hero Power works well and with very little fuss despite people like Bellular and other “THIS CHANGES WOW FOREVERRRRRRRR!!!” channels have been hyperventilating about for months now. A lot of content is only available via flying, however, and some quests are ‘blink and you’ll miss it’ in terms of text descriptions and/or finding quest widgets in the real world. Turn down your ground clutter if your eyes aren’t the best or you’re gonna have a bad time.

Warbound gear drops regularly. Some world chests are locked behind frustrating nonsense, leave them and come back in a few weeks. Be aware that there’s no difference on your mini-map between a rare, and a rare boss. Have an bug-out plan in place before you engage because I have seen people mulched by some of them.

Agree with all of this. As someone who is not flying much (I’ve been vocal enough about my hatred of dragonriding already), I’m guessing there’s some things/ quests I won’t get until I get OG Flying. They aren’t changing it at this point, so it is what it is.

It’s early but the questing reminds me of WOD questing - in that, I level up at a good pace and it’s so enjoyable that I’m not checking constantly to see how far I am from the next level. WOD had problems, but questing was not one of them. So far enjoying the questing in TWW.

I did the first delve last night and it was…enjoyable. A nice little side option. Some rewards. Interesting. Extra powers. Little story. Looking forward to more.

Love the style and aesthetics. It feels very much like my comfy WoW. Familiar, yet distinct enough. After interacting with Rockcandy Dwarves, I am now even more excited to roll one.

Most importantly, I have already collected (2) of my new mining hats. They look exactly like I had hoped. So kudos to the Blizzard Hat Art design team, killing it once again.

ETA: Hero Talents -

So, I’ve briefly mentioned some physical issues I have IRL that prevent me from playing at 100% (reflexes, nerve damage, etc).

Sin Rogue can choose between Deathstalker (looks really interesting) and Fatebound (not so much). However, Fatebound is fairly passive, so I ended up choosing that to save myself from having even more spells/talents. We’ll see how it goes.

To each their own, but I don’t play games to be reminded of real world depressing topics. I was actually pretty disappointed that this seemed to be an ongoing theme. Is some writer at Blizz having to take care of elderly grandpa?

Leveling seems to be almost too fast. I read in chat that the world first lvl cap took 1 hour and 1 minute. One of my guildies hit 76 last night. Kirsy is 73 and Larisi is 72 and I knocked off last night after about 8 hours that included a 2-hour break for food and pets. And I wasn’t even trying to rush. I was literally reading all the quests so I had a basis for the new Dwarven race’s history.

How often can we do delves? Can we just repeat them over and over? Because Tier 1 and 2 are wayyyyyy too easy. What’s Tier 6 like or when do we get to heroic or mythic difficulty?

I hate the new circle with 3 dots “quest pending” markers. I just want to call them the three seashells because I don’t know why they’re there.

Kirsy’s gonna be the character I unlock the Earthen with. I had better luck last night spotting random quest markers while playing her and I got more done than I did with Larisi. I need to go see what hero talents I really should be rolling with.

I absolutely don’t want Khadgar as a raid boss. Oh, and what was that cinematic with him and Xal’atath? What was up with her very prominent, noticeable feet? Was that cinematic directed by Quentin Tarantino?

Leveling for most does seem very fast. I supposed because of how slow I am to begin with, it’s just a nice pace for me. I’m 72 (halfway to 73). Doing some fishing. Taking some breaks. Taking in the views. I suspect I won’t be hitting 80 for awhile.

I’m not sure how often the delve thing is. I hope it’s at least daily. I’m enjoying them. I’ve done the Tier 1 so far, which is enough for me at the moment.

They’ve changed quite a few ‘markers’ in game. I am most irritated by the rare / rare boss marker. It’s now red/black/white and tiny. It often blends in with the ground and I keep missing them. I noticed this in remix. I’m hoping someone creates an addon that enables a brighter color. I miss the yellow star.

I can’t believe xalalalath sent all those crabs to dalaran. So many crabs.

Also when I was starting the Dalaran quest and getting people ready, so, if home insurance existed in WoW. Do you think after Legion they would have pulled out of Dalaran like they did with Florida?

WarSafeCo and WarFarmers: Dalaran continues to teleport itself into dangerous situations and it was decided that to continue maximizing profits for our shareholders, we will no longer offer coverage for the citizens of Dalaran.

Character idea: A Dalaran mage that was always pissed off when they teleported their apartment into a warzone.

I know we’re all just speculating, but you all know Khadgar is only dead as he needs to be. In the next expansion, when we need him, we’ll uncover a tome about the Orb of Bring Khadgar Back To Life and go find it and use it and he’ll be back from the traumatic coldness of the endless void and mostly fine.

It’s not like he’s Anduin or something.

We take that one battle pet that is Khadgar’s head in a bubble and glue it to Alleria’s shoulder. GENIUS!

Calling it now - Medivh’s not actually dead. Midnight’s going to see Medivh return to bring Khadgar back from the darkness.
