TWW Pathfinder: Whats the Point?

Give up and stop forcing pathfinder on the playerbase and therefore stop discriminating against a minority?

They rather discriminate than just give static flight when they give dynamic flight. They rather discriminate than accept fate. They rather discriminate than create more engaging content for the main storyline of their expansion.

If difficulty is discrimination then shouldn’t they also remove raiding, m+, and pvp?

Flying doesn’t matter in those. Open world content in wow takes 0 dexterity. Dragon riding seems to take more than what some ppl are used to.

It’s not about difficulty at all.

People have arthritis, and other disabilities. Why should they suffer through the new storyline the first time while perfectly able and healthy people don’t have to?

The devs have an irrational hatred of regular flying and they have been vindictive with it since the great No Flying Uprising.

They acknowledged that there are reasons for people to not use dynamic flight. That doesn’t mean flight is needed to complete the storyline.

By framing the discussion in terms of necessity for completing a storyline, this statement trivializes the significance of accessibility features and implies that the needs of individuals with disabilities are secondary to the preferences of those who can use dynamic flight.

This perpetuates harmful attitudes and reinforces systemic barriers faced by people with disabilities in accessing essential services and participating fully.

No, I’m questioning your assumption that flight will be essential at the start of the expansion.

I never made such an assumption. But if we’re using your logic than you’re okay with giving fully able people an advantage while actively working to put disabled people at a disadvantage by not enabling Static Flight when they enable Dynamic Flight.

Your mind is so small dude. Read the full thing and think about it, ask a friend. Educate yourself.

No, you can cheese with dragon swimming.

Flight, pathfinder, etc should have never been gated behind rep in the first place imo. It is and was a lazy way to handle flying. Always thought since the no flying fiasco in Wod, that they should have made a cool separate questline to unlock flying. Something like having to take out/destroy some anti aircraft type of missile installations in a zone, then there ya go, you can fly. Rep grinds have always been a boring unfun activity imho.

  1. This game is not an essential service
  2. They are still actively working on more accessibility options and have added some more already
  3. They cannot accommodate every single person’s individual needs.

Slower flight was removed. A few friends of mine had to quit playing because the speed was too much and they needed slower flight. They didn’t flip out. They understood the game needed to move forward and their unique circumstance wasn’t going to be accommodated.

With how many options they’ve added and more they want to do— I’ve been part of accessibility surveys— they aren’t ignoring things.

I’m getting really tired of you trying to victimize me with such drama.

No one is “actively working” to disadvantage me.

Again, I understand wanting static flying for accessibility. But I also understand why it’s not given right off the bat due to the rest of the playerbase.

It’s possible to be annoyed by this without trying to shove all disabled people into some dramatic victim category.

You can also go afk, as high in the sky that is allowed without fear of dying. Even more so in War Mode. Can’t do that with Dynamic flight.

I mean, this mirrors the process to unlock static flying in Wrath, except it’s tied to a quest completion instead of a gold cost.

I’ll tell you what people on the forums told me when I complained about the poor state of group play below the level of high M+ keys, and the high bar to entry into M+ in general for a solo player without the benefit of a guild or friends: Git gud.

I never need to hover in the air in order to play the game, and I’m betting neither do you.

There is no point to this. Just let people fly both ways, 95% of people will use the faster version anyway.

There is still a limitation when you create a fresh character.

Normal flying gets unlocked at lvl 30 and dragonflying at lvl 60. IMO this is enough, the game does not need other arbitrary flying limitations.

In DF you can start dragonflying about 20min after entering the first zone, and it did not break the game or the immersion, when people are no longer limited to travel on ground during level up.

Honestly it comes off as still sour grapes from WoD. They didn’t get their way, so they decided to punish the players for not letting them remove flying. Now they create dynamic flying and want it to be accepted to the point where they can remove TBC flying. Sadly that didn’t happen so again, they have to punish the players for not singing praises of their magnificent new flying system.
