Redundant except for biased verb connotation. What is the system? Dragonriding? If so it’s easier to just say “Because blizzard wants you to dragonride rather than fly normally.”

To me it feels like an ego problem on Ion’s part. His poor ego can’t come to terms with the fact something he didn’t create, static flying, is still popular, and even though dynamic flying is popular, in his egotistical mind, it should be seen as the greatest thing since sliced bread. The fact that it isn’t hurts his precious ego and therefore he has to restrict static flying and push everyone into dynamic flying to satisfy his ego and make him feel like he did something great.

You’re lying that people don’t like dynamic flight, that dynamic flight isn’t faster than Static flight, that we are defending Pathfinder when have been saying the opposite non-stop. Not stretching by any means. You’re either delusional or trolling one.

Agreed.
It is not natural to go for patchfinder achieve because most WoW players do not play the way NU BlizZard deems as the “right way”.
Which is no surprise that with each expansion the patchfinder achievements have been becoming altered to the point of being superfluous.

I like the idea of pathfinder as an achievement. It is a way of saying you completed the main outdoors for the expansion. And as an achievement that should reward something meaningful. Just not flying tho 
Ideally if flying had anything to do with the achievement, each expansion would get an expansion themed mount for the reward, instead of the mount being a part of the heoric edition price tag. Maybe they should just separate pathfinder from flying and find another suitable reward for it.

old mans flying should be the default and there should be a short quest to unlock paths for dragonriding probably at the end of the msq. i just cant get why the original 20yrold flying is locked behind some nonsense. lol we keep with tradition or what?

The logic, IMO, is that dynamic flight was their compromise between not offering any flying at all until pathfinder and offering something. I think it will probably be standard for a while, just like no-flight–>pathfinder was standard for a while.

I think its primarily to slow down the leveling process, at least for the first go around. Dev can’t keep up with our ability to consume their content. As long as that is the case I doubt we will see it removed. So lets put this pony to bed hes dead…look at me I made a rhyme
Well, that doesn’t make any sense because we’ll have access to the faster version of flying right away.
Never have been, never will be. People need to learn to be patient. No dev team on earth can crank out monthly patches.
I just disproved this by reminding you we get a faster flying right away.

its also harder to pin point landing to grab treasure chests and to farm then a regular mount. To speed up my questing i generally use the slower more accurate mount and when i want to move fast across the map I use the newer mount.

Also they might consider the addition of this faster mount as a solution to the problem. If that is the case then they may not consider it an issue any longer. The main point i try to make in these threads is it doesn’t seem to be a concern for the devs and we have been asking about this for a long time. I dont think there is a point to the asking anymore.

You can still use dynamic flying to speed up every part of leveling.
I think there is a point to asking. It literally makes no sense what so ever to gate the slower flying. I mean it’s honestly ridiculous.

Everything isn’t a compromise. At some point BlizZard must live with the consequences with their choices.
This is one of their obvious choices they should make aka easy wins by allowing normal flying with no strings attached like DR.
BlizZard is afraid of easy wins and because of that it shows how they have slipped in terms of being in the good graces of their existing community. Furthermore it shows a bad light to newcomers and those looking to join WoW.

while I think this is the correct pathfinder methodology, it doesn’t make sense to have it at all if you have any form of flying already.
just make pathfinder an achievement at this point and people will do it just for that reason.
i would rather that they don’t have flying at all in the beginning and then a straightforward pathfinder (campaign plus explorer like they laid out) and then get flying account wide.

Of course because when you leveling and reaching cap that is doing the content. At this point attaching additional gates to that original premise is just full of spite IMVHO.
I have never seen a MMORPG go backwards so fast and so hard when it comes to one of the crown jewels of its own design aka BC flying aka normal flight.
