We’re not arguing with someone speaking in good faith, they’re comepletely delusional, or trolling taking a stance that is immediately disproven yet demanding everyone else expend time and energy pointing out the obvious that doesn’t require anything in depth.
They may as well be arguing that everyone loves hamburgers and that no one likes pizza, that pizza eating is a myth formed by Big Pizza cause they can’t stand that people eat hamburgers and want no one to eat hamburgers.

They are absolutely using it. I mean, yeah, most are DRing, but I see players every single day who are on old mounts or using druid flight form. Im doing it myself for shorter trips.

I really wanted to believe that, but other than weeding out some bugs, I dont believe I see any real evidence that by the time Beta rolls around they are taking any real advice or critique at that point.
I mean, we’re told they dont read in here, but evidence dictates that they do actually pay attention to this forum and what is posted in here. Which is a good thing.
I think once beta is going on they just let it roll out to live, minus the bugs they catch, and see what happens.

If I were this clueless in my own business and couldnt read my customers overall reaction after TWENTY YEARS, I think Id call it quits and go play golf every day instead, lol

Me, I’m a sheep, I just do what Blizzard puts in front of me so no I don’t really care all that much.
There really are some of us that are fine no matter how it gets sliced. I realize other people feel diferently, but I really don’t care much. I’ve passed every pathfinder and renown gate ever put in front of me, and I expect it would continue with the new TWW options they put in front of me.
Just so we don’t have an echo chamber in here.

DR is so popular they are going to try to force people that can’t physically use DR. If something is so popular you do not need to force people to do it.

Ive been debating varioius topics for decades. One immutable truth…people come into the debate with minds made up, no one is there to learn anything, especially that they might be wrong. They’ll die in a house fire before admitting they could be wrong even in the face of irrefutable proof and with masses of people standing around laughing at them…they’ll just double down and plug their ears.
In THIS environment, you have a few choices…keep wasting time with them having to ‘softball’ if you dont want to be vacated…or ignore them entirely.
I expect the exxageration/hyperbole just like I expected my ex wife to play her demented games that I chose to ignore.
OF COURSE both forms of flight have a lot of players using them.
If someone wants to be ignorant enough to deny that fact, its not my problem or my job to change their minds. If they want to look desperate or foolish, thats on them.
So there is at least something that hampers bots for a little bit.
Also so new players who used their 70 boost and are jumping into the expansion can have a chance to figure out dynamic flight instead of just turning it off immediately because they can’t figure it out.
They are not “fun”. They are obnoxious and annoying. As I said earlier, if i wanted to play a game baised around gliding, I would play that, not WoW.
Also “fun” is subjective, what is fun for someone, is not fun for everyone.

Sure they can, by making it a non-issue. Have both types of flying available to everyone at the beginning and let the individual sort out which one works best for them. Problem solved. No other discussion should be necessary. Any reasoning otherwise on the Devs part is an apathetic control issue.

Which they won’t do, because dynamic flying engages in the content and environment more. And it’s why they continue to create more accessibility options.
We can sit here all day and make obvious statements, but in the end, it’s not what Blizz is going to do.

Botting and exploits became more rampant due to DR being able to ignore leashing rules due to instantaneously being able to take off despite being in combat.

DR goes against the class fantasy of druid flight form which is why people want to use normal flying.

pathfinders in Mist and WoD say Hi! Got you couldn’t use flying till mid expansion. I hate dragon flying for short distance since you always miss. Regular flight is much better for short distance travel.

Soaring birds can maintain flight without wing flapping, using rising air currents. Many gliding birds are able to “lock” their extended wings by means of a specialized tendon. Soaring birds may alternate glides with periods of soaring in rising air.
Know what birds are considered soaring/gliding birds? Hawks, eagles, ravens, owls, vultures, etc.
