I always feel like people who propose this don’t actually consistently RP their characters because if I had to struggle to pull together a 50 year timeskip with my guild I think we’d adopt exhausted sighs as a new language
Lol well its true, I don’t, I haven’t really RPed since BfA. But that’s tied to the story, because I lost most of my interest in the setting due to Shadowlands. Having the main story revolve around the afterlife and disconnected dragon islands is a big strain too, though maybe not as much as a skipped generation.
50 year times skip time dilation setting reboot? No problem!! Laughs in immortal Draenei
Ageless, not immortal. But that certainly would have put a wrinkle in the Shadow Council’s plan, wouldn’t it?
Chariots, you say?
That’ll probably be the next mount they give away with a 1 year sub.
And this is up for Tuesday:
Confront the memories of Azeroth during the new pre-expansion event and collect Residual Memories to purchase new items to add to your Warband collection.
When: July 30 – August 26
Where: Dalaran (hub), Dragonblight, Dustwallow Marsh, and Searing Gorge
Currency: Residual Memories – Half forgotten memories can be glimpsed in the light playing across this iridescent powder.
Levels: 10-70
Hey Lois, remember the time when Azeroth’s memories attacked us?
Am I going to be forced to confront that time I drowned in a puddle in Dustwallow Marsh?
I’d rather not.
Being a gnome is rough.

Wow. There’s not one thing I want from the pre-patch event. This is a first for me.
IN CASE YOURE DUMB LIKE ME
The bosses spawn every 90 mins. So, no you can’t kill the boss and then hop on an alt and do it again. I thought bosses would continuously spawn while the event was up in that area, which, yah I guess that stops people with their army of alts but also FEELS BAD WHEN YOU MISS THE BOSS.
I have to say, I like the Shadowlands event better because if I remember right, the rares spawned every 30 minutes? They also spawned in a circle and it was all in one zone so it was easy to park your guys and not get trapped in loading screen lag.
Then you can sit back and enjoy the best part about pre-patch, memeing in chat.
I feel like Legion’s was my favorite pre-patch. The demonic invasions were fresh, brought the feeling of the Legion’s might to bear, and helped characters gear up and level up quick. I thought it was really clever.
This pre-patch event is genuinely just a miserable experience through and through. I’m trying to get the heirloom ring at least, and was hoping to grab a few of the transmog sets… but I really don’t think I have the patience to suffer through this.
Even without any of the latency issues, I am so sick of these big map events on a timer, because it feels like I have to set aside time to sit around and do nothing just to make sure that I don’t miss it by like two or three minutes.
The spawns get more frequent every week, so at least it has that going for it.
I set timers on my phone
Oh gotcha, okay that’s not too bad then
This is what we did last night. It finally gave me time to finish my flawless Torghast runs.
I have fond memories of the Wrath and Cata pre-patch. This one has been disappointingly unstable and lackluster, with exception of Magni being called “gran’da.”
Wrath was peak. The Scourge invasion was brutal, but in a good way.
