TWW Gearing Roadblock

It might be aimed at casual, but it landed a bullseye for hard core players.
Every single mythic and heroic raid player i know, was grinding out delves because it allows you to get normal reaid level gear, on your own, extremely easy, like REALLY easy.
The hard core players i know that typically are famring M+ night and day, basically jsut went to bang out their delves asap to get the gear first because it was monumentally easier and it leads to what this guys said.

It basically jsut kills the bracket over time. The bracket here being low level M+

Stepping stone. Fast easy guaranteed loot.

Ive got like 8-10 keys on my tank that i plan on using to bypass the lower ranks of m+ ill do a few m+ for rating but i wont grind in the lower keys becaude delves nullified that. Not that its a bad thing. The more avenues i have to gear up and get to higher keys the better off i am

This is further reason Delves should never have been allowed for 5 players.

But it’s Blizz’s fault for not properly testing Delves to make them as hard as they should have been with groups.

Wouldn’t be fast or easy if they put the mini bosses back in 8’s and scaled for groups properly.

I mean honestly, solo or 5 man it would not have made a difference.

Its guaranteed loot no matter what as long as you finish it, guaranteed raid level loot at that.

Can’t expect a small indie company to get everything right in the Bug Within, eh?

Id welcome the mini boss. 8s are a breeze solo for me currently at a sub 600 ilvl

Prot warrior i was soloing them at i think like 580 something?
They are really not that hard.

Yeah i think i was 583 or 585 as Guardian with my first 8 too

Yeah they are pretty damn easy especially for the rewards you get.

Like think about it, each week, GARUNTEED! at minimum

  • 4 champion level items possibly 5-6 if you are crushing the echo memories
  • 2 heroic level items one from the map and 1 from the vault.
    Thats nuts for how easy it is.

That’s the problem. The game cannot be biased, people can. No player should have the ability to gatekeep people from the games content because of THEIR bias. It’s public policing and fails constantly, it’s gross.

An no player is with out the ability to overcome that bias via playing the game.

If the current metric is raider IO, guess what, you can improve that metric, its not impossible to get around.

Also its not just THEIR bias, players out there that are forming groups are just as entitled to their fun as everyone else, however they put stipulations on their fun by creating metrics that ensure they have the fun they are looking for.

You say that no player should have the ability to gate keep people from the game content because of their bias.

At the same time, no player should be subjugated to having their fun hindered because of someone’s poor performance.

Honestly saying a line like “No player should have the ability to gatekeep people” sounds more like “Good players should be forced to drag poor performing players along”

There is nothing wrong with saying that.

I want to have fun, i have fun by doing high level content, and in order to do high level content, i need players and people who are capable of doing it.

I should not have to be forced to carry poor performing players if they cant meet a metric that indicates their ability to play.

HOWEVER! ok here me out however!
I will give credence that there are a lot of players who set their expectations WAY to high. You dont need an insane rating or what ever to do content that is far easier then that.

Now that i will admit is a problem, players who think they are far better then they actually are, the 1400 pvp hero type crowd.

I’d love for you to explain to new players that have no idea M+ IO exists (because you have to download an optional addon to even become aware it’s a thing) that the reason they’re not being accepted into groups even though they have the appropriate ilvl, is because everyone is snooping their past game data to see the last +whatever they didn’t time and are assuming it’s because they’re bad when actually it’s because some 3100+ on a Smurf didn’t like that the tank is taking a less optimal route than the one they’ve ran a thousand times so they leave.

Start your own group. Also, game automatically tracks and gives that data. No addon needed

Edit: i join “chill” groups and low level keys all the time when i get bored (can check m+ history and see a slew of 15-20 keys and then a random 2 or 3 key for S&Gs)

Look at the rewards from the top-left table that has “Key” in the first column. Compare that to the table just below that has “Delve” in the first column. Tell me again M+ gives the same gear as Delves for the same level of effort when Delves cap out at T8, giving Champion at end-of-run, while Keys at +7 give Hero at end-of run (Both give hero in the vault, but Keys at +10 give mythic in vault).

Do lower level content to build it up. Its what i did.
I have never once touched raider IO via addon, website or anything.

I regularly get keystone hero now, why? becuase i did the grunt work before of griding out the lower level stuff to learn how the dungeons worked and how the route went and what mechanics to do, and then i jumped into higher level stuff with confidence and pushed past it.

Its that easy, literally thats it, thats all you have to do. its not hard.

M+ form 1-6 rewards champ track gear, more specifically it rewards a shot at it, you might not get anything
After 2/4/8 dungeons you get a heroic track gear if you are doing 3-6
I can do t8 delves and get the same track gear, champion, for a fraction of the effort and after 2/4/8 T8 delves i get a hero track gear.
Its the same tracked gear which is what matters.
