TWW Gearing Roadblock

And everything on the internet is true.

How do YOU get into a delve 8 when YOU cant beat a delve 6? You can’t. The game is gatekeeping you in delves because you lack the experience just as players gatekeep other players in m+ (which is folly because i can start my own group).

So long as you start at the bottom and work your way up to prove to the game youre ready. Just like proving to players in m+

Wish you would

Its just level 80 and to be good enough. I could have ilvl 619 and still not have access to tier 8 delves. Game is gatekeeping

You HAVE to prove to the game youre competant enough to complete a tier 6 before you can apply to a 7. Same thing applies to players in m+. Except players can make exceptions. Game will not

I mean, players can if you dont meet what ever the new metric is at the time. if the only way to get mythic ranked gear is via group content.

No they do not

What he is saying is entirely true. You can have 65 alts now on one account, and 8 accounts per bnet. You can have more than one bnet.

Ah yeah, sure, don’t really recall anyone saying to skip all content and just jump into a heroic raid or +5. If only they learned ‘standing in the obvious bad is bad’

You could be a player who COULD do a +10 but you didn’t have some special AddOn or something, and won’t get invited.

Proving to players involves messing with AddOns and stupid junk, though. And I’m pretty sure that Raider io looks at more than “highest m+ you ever cleared”, lol. Pretty sure it also records stuff like your DPS, and other metrics to determine the score it gives you.

Meanwhile, Delves are a “You cleared +6? Ok you’re ready to try +7.”

65 is the cap and I remember some people talking about the prepatch and how they were excited to finally get their multiple accounts full of characters leveled up.

It boggles the mind.

But then I myself have like 32? characters.

As I already said, I have a ton of champion gear in my bags already. I am only wearing veteran because they’re tier set pieces or have BiS stats. The veteran vs champion gear argument is also completely irrelevant right now because no one has the valorstones or crests to full upgrade it.

If raider IO disapeared right now, nothing would change.

That’s obviously untrue, because everybody insists on using it. They insist on its use for a reason, so obviously stuff WOULD change if it disappeared.

Actually this was true around the end of DF but that’s because everyone running M+ was either spamming +16’s and +17’s or stopped playing M+ because it was so late in the season everyone was already geared. Same with mythic raids lol

When did it get bumped from 60 max characters?

No one knows that though without first proving it (achieves or addons). Just like the game doesnt know youre capable of soloing 11s until you do

Does not. Game automatically tracks all of that. I dont carry the addon and can see everything everyone else sees with addons.

It doesnt. But nice try

I am going casual this time so I doubt I will even get KSM or ahead of the curve. just relax and have fun. You will get there in a few weeks

So like Elon with Twitter? That would be genuinely hilarious if true but also kinda scary because we all know how that turned out.

They said to skip into world content and delves as a fresh 80 to get gear up to 590.

They definitely didn’t say heroic raid. But it is often said in the forums that normal and heroic dungeons shouldn’t exist, and are a waste of time. And people should skip them and start with the hardest content they can get into.

“Don’t walk on that thing! Aww…”

No, it would not.
Again, i have been playing this game, in a raiding environment for 20 years now, and i have seen every single iteration of metric used to quantify the quality of a player, and it simply changes name.

now its raider IO
Before raider IO it was your ilvl
before it was you ilvl, it was Achievements.
Before Achivements it was based on your gear score
Before gear score it was based on the guild on the server you were on
Before it was based on the guild you in, it was based on if you had a piece of gear to prove you had done it.
Before you had to have a piece of gear to prove you had done it, well, the game was new and no one knew anything.

No matter what you do, players will find a way to quickly quantify your capabilities as a player with out seeing you play.

Which is why it is best to get rid of the player factor and use either automated matchmaking which can’t discriminate, or go solo (like with Delves).

And it’s nice to see that Blizz (with some outside help apparently) has finally seen the Light in this.

ReMoP, because people were complaining they’d have to delete characters to roll new ones to play that content.

Good, I hope they do away with some of the rampant vertical progression that has gripped WoW for so long. ESO is my comfort MMO, lol.

I don’t think they are ever going to get rid of vertical progression, lol.

That’s ingrained and baked so deep into WoW that it’s inseparable.

Nothing wrong with vertical progression unless you got other players going “no, I don’t want you because (insert lame excuse here).”

So you would have then completely uproot the lfg system which would kill this game in a heart beat because no would want to use taht random tool for end game content.

AND here is a spoiler for you, back in the days of flex raiding they had addons that were basically prototype LFG systems that used battle net accounts to link people to search which is what would happen again.

You are quite literally trying to fight the wind here, it would not fix it, blizzard would not, and will not ever remove the ability to pick who and what you wanna take to a piece of content.
