Perks of working from home and taking monday off :S was on the character screen at launch time and i’ve been on Stalagg with 0 queue every morning at 9
If I can manage to WFH or vaca I can get on Herod at 7:30AM without a queue. Haven’t tried later than that.
Unlike retail WoW at any point in its lifespan, these servers are most likely not going to be permanent. If they have a healthy population for a year of content releases that would be a big success.
Given that these servers will die within a month (worst case) or a year (best case) wouldn’t it make sense to have a plan in place to just merge them into each other as population decreases. A server falls below a certain threshold for a month it gets rolled into a bigger one. That would at least create confidence for people to pick newer servers and it wouldn’t allow free transfers - only dead server populations would move.
Eventually, you end up with one museum server and Blizzard does what private servers have done for years and launches a fresh classic realm or 2. A year later they merge into the museum server.
Bleep bleep bleep you all. How many bleeping server changes am I going to make? I got 60 levels of characters started and abandoned to your poor planning.
They can fix the problem by just making 10x more realms (marked as temp) and giving everyone free transfers now, than again in 30 days.
Once the classic calms down everyone can go back, and since its 30 days out Blizzard collects another round of sub fees. Win for everyone.
is it 9pm pacific time or eastern time?
A lot of us have friends who play on our previously selected servers. Additionally, many of us have logged quite a bit of time leveling our toons. I have at least 25 hours /played on my character.
I don’t want to start all over on another realm. I have friends who have re-rolled on another pvp realm, only to find out that they have the same extended queues the very next day.
I’d like to play tonight, but when I logged in I was greeted with a 6500~ player queue. That means I won’t be playing tonight.
I can’t speak for everyone - but I won’t create a new toon on a new realm every day just so I can log in.
Please enable free transfers so that my friends and I can play. We really enjoy WoW, and it’s a bummer that we can’t play in the afternoon/evening unless we log in first thing in the morning and stay logged in allllllll day.
My son has sat in queue for 6+ hours every day this week after school – hasn’t gotten to play yet. Queues are a thing.
Sure, if you log in early in the morning (no job, night shift, or work from home) there’s no queue – but that’s not an option for a very large number of players.
Blizzard, please clarify, are you expecting people to abandon their characters on waitlisted realms and reroll to other realms?
Context: there are realms with waitlist that make it impossible for someone to play after work/school on certain days. This is unlike Blizzard products. These servers have tens of thousands of characters with time invested and more important, friend networks invested.
I do thank the classic team for putting in new realms to allow people who havnt played to have a great classic experience. I want to move to another realm as I am always fighting queues and a new server may be healthier for my guild. The big issue is that my guild and I (Regardless of our small numbers) have invested hours into our characters already. I understand that transfers are bad for the servers in general, but the sooner they get done the less impact they may have when it comes to how much people notice it. A level 20 right now has less effect on the server than a level 60 down the line. If there is more to it that I have not touched on then please let me know.
We are only 4 days in, so you couldn’t have leveled very high and considering waiting in que so get ur friends and family and roll on another server… If they don’t want to and would rather stay with the high ques then they are not your friends, they are idiots…
This is not the solution, hello. Put your money where your mouth is Blizz. You keep saying pops will die off by 80%. Okay, then increase the server cap massively and then in a few weeks to months the realm pops will die down and phase 2 can be implemented no problem. Oh wait, unless you’re actually not confident at all that server pops will die down and then it makes sense why you think new servers is the way to go. ITS NOT. SERVER CAP SIZES ARE. PEOPLE ARE COMMITTED TO A REALM NOW.
You invested in 4 days, that’s not very long… Go on another server and spend 4 days less que time and become a higher level then what you are right now…
I have someone in my guild who is level 42 right now.
I will! …when transfers are online.
and mountless…
F-R-E-S-H SERVER BOYS you ready
Not falling for this crap again. 5 times was enough. I’ll go back to private servers.
I’d just like to say Frack You Blizzard for destroying any joy I had left in this game.
-long time player
It doesn’t take long to get attached to your character. That’s the wonderful thing about classic. It matters who you are. Who your character is. Im attached.
