I don’t know about fresh servers. I think you may be underestimating how terrible the current megaservers are. Perhaps the most toxic of players are too invested in their characters to reroll. I guess we’ll see.

Those who want fresh are probably late to the game and everyone is miles ahead of them in terms of progression and gold. I think they will most likely go back to their old characters or transfer to the established or rather mega realms after the first few weeks of honeymoon phase
Yeah, all those hardcore pvpers xferrring to one faction megaservers so they can play on essentially PVE server. Again, wouldn’t doubt the fresh server doesn’t turn into a megaserver as well, hopefully leaving the trash behind.

I’m not rolling fresh, my characters are too divided as it is which I don’t like.
However I can see the appeal, I did SoM and didn’t play past a few months (due to not wanting to raid and some other things) but in those few months, I had a really good time. I don’t regret any of it.
If people have fun playing at all on fresh that’s all that matters. WotLK C fresh might do well if the server culture is there and there is any faction balance. There are people who really want that but are “settling” for the servers we have right now.
I want WotLK C fresh servers to do well so these people trash-talking them can be told “I told you so”.
People on these forums love to divide themselves (fresh vs non-fresh here) and be nasty to others. Maybe they have something in their real lives to work out so this is their way of feeling better.
Take the OP, he gets pissed about the Karazhan changes yesterday, makes a thread in anger, does not get the response he expects, and then comes on here to make a thread where he thinks he can get people to agree with him (and he clearly can on this, he knows it too) and then is able to make fun of people like he wanted to in the first place and laugh about that. Really sad, and I hope things get better for him since he clearly has to troll to feel good. I bet most people didn’t even notice that.

I love people who act like mega-servers aren’t the community’s will playing out. People want a playable game where you can run group content whenever you play, and if you need to buy/sell mats, there’s an economy for it. “Server identity” or “too many GDPKs” or whatever just aren’t priorities for most

Mega servers are pretty crappy. Bunch of no name people who you dont know and dont care about their own actions.
If it dies it dies, so what.
Go enjoy benediction or Faerlina and leave the fresh ppl to do their thing. It literally impacts you 0.0%, so maybe let it go?

All the best to fresh servers. Personally I don’t think it’s a good thing for OCE because we are a small community with no megaservers. While I hope OCE players choose otherwise, it makes sense for new US players to go there considering how most of the US is just megaservers.
i’m definitely in this category. i quit on this resto shaman just before Phase 2 and was kindly told to perhaps just wait for wrath launch or transfer to a megaserver if i wanted to join a guild. Thought about it and figured Fresh start would be more fun in general.
I’m hoping this will happen for fresh servers.
