Two allied race slots left

There are two allied race slots left on the allied banner screen. Not to say they need/will be filled after mechagnomes and vulpera hit the game but what are your two guesses here?

I’m not going to be weird and say they will be fan service at all but I’m calling the two Naz races incoming. Ankoan and Giblins.

Just seems to be in blizzards thought process to be that way with these. It may seem odd for some people to see horde getting another short race but I fully see it happening after befriending them both as a major part of the story.

That is unless there’s something that happens in 8.3 that we don’t know with an alleria void twist yet that we get a variant of existing races like undead elves and and another worgen type class. Night elf worgen/forsake worgen?

What are your thoughts?

I just do not foresee blizzard putting in ogres, high evles, sanlayn(eww), or anything dramatic like that.

Why are San’layn any worse than high elves? :laughing:

Seriously though… Personally, I really hope that we don’t get either of the races out of Nazjatar. The gilbins are low effort reskins and the Ankoan are plain ugly imo.

The amount of allied races will slow down, but who says they’re done after the next two? Because of the current design of the character creation screen? Blizz will likely change that when they need to

Blizz talked about future allied races being fan requests, and that they’ll add them when they make sense. We’ll probably only start seeing them at the begininng of new expansions as promotional bonuses

As to what allied races that may be announced at BlizzCon, I think San’layn and Ogres have a decent shot. Not sure what we’d get on the Alliance

Since it seems allied races are variations on core races for the most part, that would leave some variation of Forsaken and Worgan.

I feel like both the alliance and horde are going to get undead elves.

alliance are gonna get undead sentinels, and the horde are going to get the dark rangers which are ironically high elves.

Blizz will create another tab and it will be for the allied allied race or friends of the allied race.

I’m thinking saberon as the worgen counterpart for Horde. Some of them did tag along with the mag’har and ran off to the Barrens.

Not sure what the Alliance one could be though. But I don’t think ankoan and gilbin will happen. They’re ocean dwellers, they don’t like dry land and aren’t built for it.

I want high elves for the alliance and tortollan for the horde.

I really really really want playable tortollan. Please blizzaerd take my bank acount password and give me tortollan.

You people know that they can increase the length of the banner anytime they want right? It’s a pretty quick thing for the UI team to do…

Or they can come up with a whole new character select screen. Allied Races are a gold mine… they’re not going to stop just because they ran out of space on the character creation screen that they created.

I am surprised there isn’t more desire for Mok’Nathal… I guess the biggest hinderance is that we don’t see a lot of them in game, besides outlands, and that they are too similar to orcs?

Add something to give the Horde more brutish strength??
