I purchased two subscriptions to a Twitch channel that was playing the World of Warcraft promotion. I received a code but the code is not working for the promotion item. What should I do?
For more information. The code on the Warcraft site asks for 16 letters or numbers, and my code provided has 17.
I’m afraid that would be my recommendation as well, it may be their delivery method added a character that doesn’t belong. They should be able to check.
Base line support may not have any information, so it may need to be escalated. Please let us know the results. Depending on what they say we can try finding out more information on this side.
The Twitch code is actually 21 characters. Make sure you are copying and pasting all 21 digits.
The format on the Twitch page is 4-4-5-4-4, but the last group of four characters isn’t displayed in the box. I spent one frustrating day trying to claim the pet and discovered this during my last-ditch attempt before getting CS departments involved.
Mine is not. It’s 16 characters. My account information is only xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx. I tried logging in on the Battlenet.app and it has 16 characters to redeem the code. I am double checking the Twitch code. Again the code has 17 characters. 4-4-5-4-4.
*It’s a Twitch error. When you select the reward from a streamers panel it sends you to “How to redeem a code.” I should be getting help on Monday.
What you’re seeing on the account page is only a placeholder. Most Blizzard codes I’ve seen are in the format of
4-4-5-4-4. I believe some older codes used the 4-4-4-4 format, and the placeholder just wasn’t updated.
Thank you Terise and Leviathan. I had given up on the pet. Copying it to the Battlenet Account page caused an error. Typing all twenty-one characters with dashes successfully awarded the item.
After completing the 1600 pet achievement, this was a nice surprise.
