I really hope so. I get what they’re doing but you can always kind of prevent dead servers by not having so many.
Without exact numbers of how many people will be playing, I don’t see that being possible. With fewer servers and more layers they can accurately gauge the amount of players per server without running into “Player name already taken” and such. Then they can choose how many servers are needed.
I was on a dead server for Classic and it seriously impeded my enjoyment of the game, whether or not I was aware of it.
Read the OP title.
Say it a few times.
Just got out of a BG with three people all twinked out, all from the Bonechewer battle group and all three standing around the XP eliminator after the game.
The sad thing is the 4 games without twinks were so great, and that one was just horrible.
Please sort this exploit out.
EDIT they were all in the next game too.
EDIT and the next, all hanging around the XP eliminator after each game
Each of them defending their actions like they had the right to do it, bragging about how many times they had been reported.
Just fix this already.
Last time I ran into a twink I was on my Ele Shaman and that Mage Rickjamez or whatever was there. He’s a prime example of gear carrying someone, got outplayed like something fierce and kept running from 1v1s.
As a former 119 twink before they removed xpon/xpoff queuing together, clearly endgame pvp is not a challenge. I got a glad in season 1 of BFA and haven’t touched it since. It’s not a challenge, it’s boring, no one wants to fight against people “abusing” PvE tank trinkets.
All this talk of twinks being unfair leads straight into 120 pvp. Nothing in this games PvP is ever fair. Someone got lucky on their PvE raid boss drop and got a tank trinket. Now they have a clear advantage on anyone that hasn’t had it drop for them.
Only difference for 120 is you can’t not queue into people that aren’t looking for ways to abuse PvE gear if you’re getting farmed in level 20 bg’s oh well go and quest you’re only doing BG’s to level anyway might as well quest and do it x5 faster than spamming bg q’s, losing, then going to the forums because someone hit you harder than you could hit them.
I saw a video of a youtuber the other day who was leveling a monk his monks now 120 but he 1v1ed a hunter twink {https ://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C2YhKMGqbaQ} This video is proof if you don’t suck you can actually kill twinks they aren’t gods like some people claim them to be. And that guy was also playing the most powerful spec at low lvl too and was decked out.
if 1 guy who isn’t decked out can kill 1 of the most broken specs in the bg pretty sure people your group can take them down
skip to 5:27 for proof
The point is this:
- queues are supposed to be separated now
- players are abusing an exploit to get around the separation
This has nothing to do with how hard or easy it is to kill a twink. Or how strong twinks are (or are not). And nothing to do with anyone’s skill. Why even bring it up?
It is an exploit that clearly goes against the decision Blizzard made when separating the queues and should be fixed.
You’re really worried about the balance of pvp thats not even at the max level? It’s these kind of changes implemented across all systems that don’t even reward you for gearing. At the very least twinking allows you to feel a real gear progression.
Dad blizzard save us from the big mean twinks
Thanks for the reply.
I welcome you to show the proof.
You have been farmed for years on this proxy, as I have documented.
Why would it change?
Still riding, never hiding.
You are 100% the exact type of person that would twink, let alone abuse the exploit so that you can fight people with far worse stats. Instead, you should actually hit max level and pvp against equal players, then you can improve your skill cap which is no doubt incredibly low (hence the twinking).
Tbf, I’m hearing max level gear has a huge gap (I don’t believe it but that’s the claims around here)
As with any PvP, in any bracket (and hell, in nearly any game), there’s going to be gaps between players. Someone who just hit 120 versus someone who plays 1 character (no alts) and spends their life in the game…that’s likely the biggest gap. It’s bound to exist, but I don’t think it can ever exist to the same degree as it does in transitional/lower brackets.
Moreover, it’s less unfair because you can also put the time in to get that gear (unlike twinking anything not max level). I may choose not to play 16 hours a day, but I could and end up getting a lot of the same gear. The percentage of people getting gear from high-end raids that most others can’t get is much smaller than we think (I think, I don’t know).
Even blizzard approves of twinking
“Distilled from the tears of combatants who couldn’t measure up.”
Clearly, the homogenization crew would scream to change the wording
Saltwater Potion
Item Level 1
Use: Increase all damage done by 30% for 12 sec. Only usable in battlegrounds. (1 Min Cooldown)
“Distilled from the tears of combatants who couldn’t measure up.”
I’m not entirely sure that’s in reference to twinking. Besides, that certainly doesn’t include people exploiting a hack to bypass the system Blizzard themselves have implemented. Twinking might be approved by Blizzard, in the context of those twinks fighting each other, because obviously why not.
But I doubt they approve of twinks fighting players far less geared, hence them separating queues in the first place. Your grasping at straws I think.
If you’re wearing no gear/white gear, you deserve to get pounded. If you’re not enchanting heirlooms, you deserve to get pounded. Just like as a fresh 120, if you don’t gear up, you deserve to get pounded. Though I will say scaling at max level is decent enough you’re fine and gear up quick. Lower levels same thing, if your gear is good, you can do just fine in leveling BGs.
We’re talking about twinks here though, not players in general. Sure, players with really terrible gear would get pounded, and nobody would complain about that…in the same way a fresh 120 would get pounded. It’s to be expected. This is a very different matter than twinks though, especially those using the exploit.
I know who we’re talking about…
is gear itemization something new , hell are twinks a new thing in wow
the problem I see most have is that they cant level in "peace " in pvp and want to be saved or protected
if they love pvp and want to be fair why not go pvp at level 120… with the longer que time of course and if they just want to level , as been explained why not do it an a more optimal setting
there are plenty of games that cater to a more homogenized pvp environment
If blizzard didnt allow gear optimization in pvp or pve they would not have allowed in in those areas,
You have legion account players also wrecking people and getting called cheaters and twinks …
this is the same story from the people who believe in everyone deserves a trophy belief
Tell me the current rated arenas and RBG is in a good place atm
