Well then people should stop crying about not being able to level in PvP. If they truly want to PvP, they have multiple options to achieve the gear to be competitive.
Not really because twinks specifically are getting gear that they know no one would reasonably get while actually leveling.
Which is of course why it makes perfect sense to just give twinks their own queue, so they can play with people of similar interest, and legitimate players can play with each other.
You’re being facetious, correct? Literally, anyone can get that gear.
I’m not against that at all. Just don’t cry when someone 8 levels higher still 1 shots you and that the queue is dead because PvE players wanted to dabble.
Non-twink queue would 100% go down if they separated the queues. There are a lot of people who don’t do low level bgs simply because they’re ruined by twinks.
Not what I said now is it, I said that noone leveling will reasonably get it because it’s stupid to invest that much in gear that will be quickly replaced.
/shrug we’ve already seen how that plays out though, turns out the exp on queues were just fine and the twink queue ended up being the queue that died.
Hey there, Ziryus – I have +155 spellpower and 2300 health unbuffed. Can you explain in detail how I “ruin PVP” at Level 39?
I’m pretty sure I’ve asked you this before in another cryfest about twinks, and you mysteriously stopped responding to that thread. Perhaps that won’t happen again.
Wow this has an exceptional amount of responses. Blizzard did a very well explained write up. They have considered all implications deeply - and their decision has made the vast majority of players happy - including myself. I would like you to not laugh at immediately, and look into, the 79 twink bracket. Its the new hot thing and its considerably more balanced, nowhere near as min-maxabe, and you can crush people in a budget set. Reach out to Sebiwillakah on Grobbulus, alliance, if you want to learn more and participate in one of the most interesting and fascinating twink brackets that is new and fresh to the game. It is active and serious, and not sweaty. We will help you gladly. We got a world first achievement about a month ago. Blizzard, I expect a plaque in the mail, k?
How would separating the twink queues ruin their fun? Yes people who are leveling are going to have worse gear than someone who has locked their level and min maxxed gear at that level.
The whole point of brackets in the first place is to separate people by relatively equal power levels.
That is the whole purpose of questing and dungeons. With your outlook all gear is irrelevant until you are full heroic geared from the current final raid. There is no logic in that. Gear is a progression point. Some gear lasts several levels.
Twink queue was very active for certain brackets. It didn’t die. Certain brackets were unpopular compared to others. My twink accidentally leveled up due to me not paying attention to patch notes. I didn’t start again for a while because I was pissed off (mostly at myself) but when I did, that was my own discovery.
Some twinks consider getting the gear while staying under-leveled part of the challenge (I’m not one of them, it’s a hassle).
Do you seriously not understand that Level 19 Gnome Warriors with the [Glacial Stone] 2H mace and the [Seal of Wrynn] ring are a thing? That these characters existed before XP gain could be disabled?
