Good. Twinks are nothing but bottom feeders. People who twink are people who hate fair fights. Nothing more.
If you were anything more than that, you wouldn’t care and would keep PvPing in normal gear instead of posting complaints that your twink-gear can’t be used in BGs anymore.
Personal attacks do nothing to help your argument. If anything it shows your lack of maturity. You OP brought up the claims. The burden of proof is on you to prove. so far you’ve failed.
I think the people who cried and threw fits about something that obviously wasn’t a big deal deserve to get gy camped, but I think things should be evened out.
The sad thing is that this won’t stop low level PvP from being a nightmare for whichever side gets their butts kicked. All it takes is having the right classes, or smarter players on your team and the other side will just have a bad time.
Also, the fact that you can’t see that you’re comparing apples to oranges is pretty sad.
MOBAs are not MMO’s. They’re completely different types of games and yet you’re trying to give merit to your argument that you should get to roflstomp low ilvl people because your joy comes from the feeling like a god against mortals.
This is the problem though. There’s always that group of people who everyone else wishes would just quit.
It’s legit, because they get to roflstomp people who have no chance against them. That’s not fun for anyone but them. Not even a little.
Yet because the game turns groups against one another, everyone is eventually alienated.
Twinks are an example of people doing what it’s taboo in WoW to do: Earn actual character power. There’d be nothing wrong with this is everyone was allowed to do it.
I also think if you’re getting roflstomped in a BG, you should get a buff. Sue me. I think SKILL SKILL SKILL I WIN OVER U QUIT NOOB should be for rated BGs.
someone yesterday was like “ENJOY YOUR LONG QUEUES” and i told them that on my zt my queue was about 8m. their response was to wait until later brackets. which by the time i get there there will be more allied races in that level range, so lol.
What are you talking about? How are you thrown under the bus?
You get to pvp with other twinks still.
You just don’t get to rolfstomp people who are leveling and pvp’ing.
Don’t try and twist this. This isn’t about any sort of “purity of pvp”. If that was the case, there’s nothing more pure than pvp’ing against others who are on the same playing field (i.e. other twinks wearing BiS).
It’s not the only sanctioned. It’s the base principal of the game. It’s what it was founded on and they added an exception at one point to allow for a bit more flexibility. That flexibility has impacted other aspects of the game, so at it’s core the question becomes what’s more important, trying to maintain some form of parity in pvp while leveling or letting that get blown out of the water for the people who want to twink. The first one is more likely to be the preference, there are far more people who are leveling than there are twinking. Therefore design for the larger portion.
So the question then becomes, why is twinking important? Is it because those players can’t succeed well/fast enough at 120 to get enough of an advantage to feel over powered? I think it’s really just that simple, if that’s what drives you then it’s a case of wanting to abuse (be a detriment) others for your own enjoyment while putting in less work than it’d take at max level.
If that’s the case, then get rid of xp off. That simple. Get rid of the option to turn off xp, and then no one will need to have this conversation anymore.
If blizz came out and said “getting people to end game is the goal and we’re gonna turn off xp off to facilitate that” then I’ll be content.
I mean, people will still complain about it. Once you give something taking it away usually starts a small riot. Case and point with why these threads exist.
The other thing with this is that removing turning it off screws anyone who is intentionally staying at sub level cap to play with a friend, in a previous expansion, or whatever other reason they might have. This is a specific niche issue they are addressing, no need to throw the baby out with the bathwater.
Your timing is bad on this. You should have waited for a month or so and then people would have leveled up their allied races, now people won’t be able to see this.
If he earned it, through actual hard work, I would have no problem with being squishyvonpancaked.
The problem is the game does not let you earn character power. It’s 100% skill at level 1, at level 50, and it’s 100% skill at level 120 or 130 or wherever we’ve got to at this point.
People are understandably upset that there are twinks because the game does allow lots of little statistical cheats and exploits to make your character stronger.
…The game just doesn’t allow you to earn power through playing the actual game.
