theres a spot in the vale not many people know about where pet battles respawn over and over I used my mag har orc and got 1-85 in about day maybe slightly more. its a good spot XD
This is exactly I think a lot of people feel there was a thread I was reading in GD earlier how there has been a lot more twinks then past exp packs and BFA is pretty much why its probably the worst exp pack made IMO even more so then WOD I actually liked WOD and esp more so pvp wise. My fav bracket to lvl in has actually been in the 111 bracket due to the fact its the only bracket epics pop in
I like the spot in valley of four winds on the hill where you can just pet battle to your hearts content from level 1.
There is a good spot in WoD, too by the coast, in SMV.
You and me agreeing… never saw that coming.
WoD was actually pretty good for PVP, I really enjoyed it, and the gearing system.
And agree again on the 111+ bracket, it is my absolute favorite bracket for exactly that same reason, epics!
Do you have the co-ords for that?
I loved WOD pvp. Used to get romped to start with but you slowly picked up gear from the vendor and it was fun. That’s what I enjoyed at least you felt some progression.
If their was 1 thing WOD did right it was definitely pvp. Pve yeah not so much and the reason people hated it. But it was a lot of fun it was also the last time I enjoyed world pvp too. Legion felt like I didn’t have as much besides argus and even then wasn’t as good imo. and templates killed the fun for bgs for me. as half the toys I used to use in bgs were disabled and items specificly used in av never even worked. Hell couldn’t even use the harmless legendary staff to mount that some of my toons have XD
100% agree! WoD style gearing with the vendors was perfect.
You earned your gear through hard work, gradually getting stronger, and getting that much desired upgrade you had been eyeballing for a week.
I miss that system, as you could feel your character growing in pwoer.
Yeah WoD did PVP the right way, for sure.
Don’t get me started on templates. Ugh… that is another topic all together.
It’s in valley of four winds where all those cranes are, up on a hill.
I can get exact coords after this Bg.
You know gy camping happens even at max level right? And that’s not a gear issue.
Not if twinks really want to fight only other twinks – as people keep insisting.
If that’s the case, twinks should be begging Blizzard for separate queues, encouraging everyone else to do the same and hyping this: “Put your mettle against other players interested in the same bracket! Come join us at (Name of community/website) here!”
But that’s not happening.
The lack of action speaks much louder than words.
Name another area of the game where you can que into an instance, while being on the lower end of the gear curve, and expect to do well?
I dont understand why low level pvp has to be any different. The gear curve is steeper and the difficulty higher…sometimes. Keep ur gear up, enchant when its worth it. Thats how the game works.
Gear. There are plenty of green quality items on the AH that are very strong pieces. Dont get colorblind when choosing your gear. You dont need purples/blues to dominate. Sure there are some outlier pieces, but its pretty easy to get and maintain a decent gear set.
Adaption. I have a few rogues of various levels on both factions. The number of people on both factions running Adaption is staggering. If you are running that, you get what you deserve.
Some classes are just better and have more important abilities earlier than others. Outlaw is pretty fun and dominant at low levels. WW, on the other hand, with no interrupt or stun isnt. It does good dmg, but youre gimped in the chess-match. If your kit is low on cc or defensives, you should prbly stay out of bgs until you get a couple. Its not mandatory, but its advised.
Plenty of games are lost bc of twinks. Just as many are won bc of them. It all evens out. You can take the twinks away, and it still doesnt guarantee a better win rate, or that you will have more fun.
People will just find something else to blame/complain about: faction imbalance, racials, map layout, blizz conspiracies, class imbalance, healers too strong, healers not strong enough, melee mobility, interrupts, cc, DR’s, que times, lack of healers on teams, idiots in bg chat, deserters, deserter punishment and…pre-mades.
Finally, I dont understand why its on me or any other player to make someone elses bg or leveling experience easier. We shouldnt have to roll out the red carpet for the levelers. And if you really like pvp…enough to level through it…then you should understand how pvp functions, what to expect in-game, and whats expected of you.
Update your gear, enchant, and quit running Adaption (if you are). You help you win more.
Ya, most people do fine lvling in bgs when they take the time to gear up in each bracket.
The ol’ ad hominem rears it’s head. How about actually reading what I wrote before spitting out this vitriol. I said I barely lose to twinks with 2x my hp and that can 2-3 shot me. This is in the 119 bracket. I understand that in your low bracket maybe the difference in twink vs non twink isn’t that great but my rogue has roughly 40k hp vs twinks at 84ishk with much more power. I also said they usually barely kill me which is ducking amazing when you consider the power difference. If I was playing their toon I’d be a literal god.
It can suck to play against the same geared out twinks from game to game. Perhaps one solution can be to put an internal cooldown on how often you can be put into same game with a certain twink that had XP off. So that you don’t get to play against same twink squads over and over.
I think in general however it’s fine to have twinks in the same queue, because it broadens the scope of the game. It’s an MMO after all. It makes players wonder why some of these twinks are so good and encourages them to explore some of those options themselves. It also allows players who are willing to go extra mile a little reward. More goals in the game is always better. A goal to make a character as strong as possible in a bracket is good as any. When twinks were in separate queue they effectively didn’t exist, because that queue would never pop up.
If the game becomes sanitized and normalised it will lose any dynamics.
I am starting to realize this same thing.
After seeing how “the other half lives”, they certainly do make things interesting and actually kinda of… fun.
Even if it’s me getting stomped.
But if they separate queues, I’m OK with that, too.
But as much as the player base is shrinking, I’m not sure that would be the best thing for the longevity of the pvp side of WoW.
GY camping happens at every level but more prevalent at low levels
Yeah it does just came up against a MM hunter twink 40 kills 0 deaths. Yeah that’s really adding to the depth.
You have a source for that of course.
