Twinks are playing a different game

I am attempting to level various characters for the heritage armor transmogs, and I prefer to PvP as I level. Yet most BGs are pointless exercises in futility — one or two twinks dominate and decide the outcome, not because they are superior players, but because they are playing a different game. They have disabled the game’s inherent experience feature and farmed BiS items for no other reason than to overpower those of us who are playing a different game: the game that awards experience for doing battlegrounds, dungeons, and quests.

It is indefensible that these players — who, I repeat, are not playing the same game — should be grouped together as if they were.

Let the twinks play their little game together, in their own brackets, where they can impress each other with their xp-off god-mode.

The rest of us would like to continue to play World of Warcraft.

Twinks put in more time in their characters, it’s only fair they are stronger. They’re playing the same game as you. This argument is as pointless as arguing that being queued versus 120s with higher ilvl is unfair.

You can pvp while leveling in war mode. It’s entirely your choice to queue up for low level BGs, which have never been balanced at any point in WoW’s history.

There are better options than separation of the player base.
For the majority of the brackets an entry level character can be customized within (10%-15%?) of a best in slot Twink.
Players with this intelligence (effort) will be dominating the XP on separated bracket, just like in the past.
With our newly added Communities feature, the “Reroll subculture” of “Twinking” in XP on will peak to new levels and the same complaints of “Twinks” will return.
Along with the added separation queue timer.

By being specific regarding what we would like to see changed/tuned will be of much better use imo.
e.g; Characters at the low end ilvl of the brackets could certainly use a baseline boost via Magic Scaling ™️

Are you Pvp or are you leveling? i mean sure you can do battlegrounds to enjoy some pvp but i highly recommend that you adhere to the expansion theme and gear your character. Take pride in finding great items they are not difficult to get. but you really should’nt expect to do well in pvp if you expect to disregard gear. Xp is a reward for winning the battleground, so you need to come geared if you expect to win. if you do these things you will be on par with all these so called twinks that are in newly acquired BFA gear that you should be wearing.

I agree, but brace yourself because there will be forum pvp now, and all they have is emotional arguments.

attempt at being dismissive…

If you seriously want Blizzard to consider feedback, stop spamming threads about it and keep it in a single thread.

At this point, new threads are spam.

If it’s what they enjoy and are not breaking the ToS. Who cares, it’s such a small niche community and they did build a community around it

I want to bring my 120 in lower bracket (19s, 39s, etc) BGs to fight twinks…
…“I put more time into my character…only fair I am stronger. They should invest the time in leveling up if they want to compete.”

Even having twinks ON my team is no fun. I just stand in the middle of the map half the time while they camp the gy. :s

Flag is unnecessary. He’s stating an opinion.

Hello there, I am a Twink enthusiastic and would like to talk for a bit!

Gear customization’s main advantage is that you can make many spec and classes somewhat viable in lower level PvP, allowing more diverse playstyles even for those that are leveling and have only a few enchants.

Legion’s templates made twinking impossible in it’s common acception - but I personally liked the satisfaction of winning teams by using some tactic, not only brute strength.

The power advantage that twinks have nowdays are way smaller than what it has previously been. It still is quite noticeable nonetheless, with an difference of about 30-60% between a reasonable geared character and a twinking, I would say.

Twinking Is just a game style and it should’ve been deterred. My proposal is to further decrease the power difference would be to increase the kind of items that drop from the lowest level dungeons (so that you can quickly have a nice trinket when leveling, for example) and to also give spells more quickly across the classes, to avoid some of them having almost none of their necessary kits at some brackets (even if it means bigger level gaps between spells being given).

If possible, also buff some of the profession made items so that levelers can have more gearing chances (the various stat squishes heavyly affected some of those items).

“Buff the levelers, don’t nerf the Twinkers”.

Seems deserved

I pointed out that people that falsely flag posts that are undeserving of being flagged ought to be punished for falsely claiming something. Thats controversial? You realize making false allegations is usually against the law. In this case with it being a forum a forum suspension for false flagging seems very appropriate.

They will do that if they feel it is deserved. And you won’t know other than someone stops posting, like a certain druid who has disappeared.

Look at achievements etc. Its not hard to tell when it’s two diff people. It’s more than just a couple people that dont like the current set up. In every bg I’ve been in most players are in agreeance on their dislike for twinks. Anecdotes are anecdotes however.

Careful Lunestra, if you post too much against twinks, you are automatically Greyhide!
I’ve also been accused of being Greyhide.

On topic, though, I have been pretty vocal about twinks myself, but you know, even I’m getting tired of these threads.
I am finding out it takes a LOT of work, a LOT of gold (server dependent, I’m sure), and a LOT of time to properly gear up a twink.
Holy moly… the work my friends put into their characters on a daily basis is just… mind blowing dedication.

They have as much right as I do to be in BG’s.

Can they make the game unfun? Sure they can, but you know I have new point of view on that, too.
Twinks may make the game unfun sometimes, but they can also make the games very fun.
Nothing is more fun to watch, than base sitting, and watching the big twink cuddle puddle in the middle, esp. EoTS.

Heck, I’d rather play against 10 twinks kicking my healer butt, than ONE guy on our team, who whines and cries, and tells everyone how stupid they are.

I got called the “C” word because some dude ran into the middle of the enemy team jenkins style, and I couldn’t keep him alive.
He died in two hits.
(A quick check of his gear made me giggle a little bit).
“I’m very sorry” I replied.
He told me to go kill myself IRL.

Meanwhile… a twink on the team sent me a tell and told me I was doing great, and we have since become friends.

There are good and bad on both ends of the spectrum.
Some twinks are just there to mongo smash noobs and levelers, but some are genuinely there to help and just PVP and have fun.

If you’re going to do BG’s, come prepared.

Get some heirlooms, get them enchanted, and keep your gear updated, and while you may not be omgwtfbbq smash face awesome, you will stand a way better chance in surviving.

And if you’re just leveling, meh, just let the twinks be, you’ll be out of their bracket in a few hours anyway.
