Twinks are now just leaving BGs early

Indeed. They were right too.:rofl::rofl:

Oh lord… what was he saying?

Why not add that stat template idea as an xp off option then? Makes to much sense to ignore. If that is the only reason as to why twinks were merged in legion is so they could not get a signifant advantage over lvling players, why not just have the option to que up with your exp off and have a stat template added to your toon? Then you aren’t overgeared or at a greater advantage. Stat templates wouldn’t apply to leveling toons, only toons who turned off their exp and are queing against leveling toons.

It’s 1 of 4 posts bumped in over 2 hours and your complaining. This forum is already dead. If it weren’t for the 4 of you who camp here it wouldnt have any activity.

That wasn’t a complaint.

What would be really hilarious is if someone used an exploit to get into an XP on BG is that Blizz could make an algorithm to notice this and remove their XP off buff.

They’d earn xp. They’d ding. Their dreams would shatter. Mwahahahaha!

Who thought that twinking and talk of expoff/ on being unmerged again after a few months? Also, why are so many leveling players complaining still? They got what they wanted, so they don’t really need to say much on the subject.

From my perspective, now its about a reasonable solution to the twinking epedemic. Wrath of the lich king, patch 3.2 added exp to battlegrounds and the ability to turn experience on or off, which was a fair solution at the time, and was ok, depending on the server. I couldn’t get ques to pop most of the time, so i stopped pvping largely for a while.

Low lvl battlegrounds have largely been a subject of debate since their inception, and quite frankly, were a huge oversight by the developers. Brackets back in the day were separated by 9 lvls each, 10 -19, 20 - 29, 30-39 etc. So not only did you have twinks purposely decked out right before the cap, but you also had low lvl 10s and other nonsense, trying to take on lvl 19s. Have you ever tried fighting a pve mob 9 lvls higher than you? That was a problem. Blizzard did some bracket changes later on, like 10-14, 15 - 19, 20 -24 and 25-29 and so fourth, but was still pretty rediculous. Now everyone scales to the max lvl of the bracket.

It was a bit of a mind game to create 1 twink back then. Combined with the efforts needed to preserve your self and get the most possible amount of gear and exp without overdoing it, you had to make sure all your discovery exp was accounted for as well. Usually, a max lvl alt on an alternative account or friends account was required to simplify the process. This alt would be max lvl, would have a rez spell, could kind of walk you around to areas so you didn’t die so often. Add that to intentional deaths to avoid unwanted exp, in dungeons, quest farming etc. That was the most efficient way to make a twink back then.

The patch wrath of the lich king also added exp off, so it was easier to farm gear for a casual lvler to farm the gear if they wanted to twink. Enter the legion expansion, and surprisingly, blizzard added stat templates, merging exp off/on ques, for the first time since the separation. Its all about repetition of history with blizzards stance on twinks. People didn’t react properly, and the same thing is happening again almost 10 years later. Legion added the interesting idea with the stat templates. Most players in xp off were satisfied, because we could actually play pvp on our low lvl toons.

Not all leveling players are the same, and neither are all twinks. People need to stop putting them in as if they are all psychologically the same. They are not. People overgeneralize so much nowadays, and its a bit rediculous to me. twinks don’t have near the battleground grip they had back in the day, so with the legion stat templates, it would be nice to reintroduce them as a exp off function. Your stats would be like they were in legion, and you would be facing levelers as well. No disadvantages, no major disadvantages, just pvp. The griefers and all the exploitationists, twink or non, will continue to find new ways to do so. The people who are happy to pvp, will just pvp. And the lvlers will pvp and lvl. The ques would be decent, and we could pvp. Who cares about anything else at that point, as long as its balanced and no major advantages are given.

I completely agree with this. I have it seen it said many, many times that “one twink can completely change the outcome of the BG” and yet, on my leveling twinks, I still see 1 or 2 others per BG, and the impact they have is minimal, and definitely does not guarantee the win.

We had 2 twink healers in BFG, and we still lost… why? Not because the other team had twinks, they had better teamwork, and a better team composition with higher damaging classes than what we had.

And the twink healers were focused down so fast, it didn’t make a hill of beans what they wearing.

It was blown way out of proportion how bad the “twink problem” was.
It wasn’t individual twinks, it was premades with optimal team set ups.

Blizzard can cap what goes in to a BG, they could easily cap the number of exp off players per BG and limit it to 2 per team or something, kinda like they did with healers.
Or they could put new players and people who just want to level and don’t really care about PvP in with AI, and everyone else, exp off and loomed up players could BG together.

There was literally no reason to separate exp off and exp on.
There are not as many twinks per bracket as everyone thinks.
The community itself might be pretty good sized, but per bracket, it’s really not, which is why exp off queues don’t pop.

Many of you really have no idea what’s going on. The mythological twink is the culprit for everything it seems.

The people leaving early are simply avoiding XP gains. They aren’t twinks. Then again a lot of you consider twinks to be well geared characters now. lol nuts

Ever heard of leveling in dogs?

Lmfao that’s funny

Many of the complaints you still you hear are fake. People did this back in Wrath too. It was negative twink alts trying to get people going. Cogshanks made doing it pointless however, it doesn’t work anymore.

Use the global mute feature and you’ll possibly find the culprits.

This has been going on since the start of experience in BG’s. And you seem to want everything micromanaged to the point of sterility.

How about instead of trying to prohibit EVERYTHING they just fix their que. FINALY

XP should never have been introduced as a reward for bgs, was the one of the most braindead stupid decisions blizzard has ever made, makes the wimps whine and complain when people better than them kick their rears.

Yes, i have a twink toon, so what. I spend the time and effort to create it, so why punish it?

Combined queues is a win/win, still. I get to play the toon I worked to build, you still get to level.

If you want to join a BG and win a lot, then build a twink. If all you want is some quick XP, then take your beating and move on. You’re still going to get the XP.

Stop bumping this crap.

people cry when they die so like everything else in bfa it got destroyed

God, people will cry about anything. lol

Sometimes players really just are better than you. Just because you died doesn’t mean it was a twink, it might mean that you need to learn to play better.

I vow for the rest of my life to ruin as many levelers as i possibly can, because of this change and it not going back to what its suppose to be, being forced to play end game and stressing myself out to no end and falling into a depression of not getting on my characters i poured my life into, i will make each and every single one of you know this pain that i now feel.
