Sure. Wherever it’s relevant, I’ll bring it. If you don’t see the hypocrisy, idk what to tell you. I am for people playing how they want, not restricting options. That includes twinks/premades/people with no gear (though I will bring that up if people post about gear advantages/disadvantages)
Yep pretty much this
The Xpoff separation has really removed a player base which would only add efficiency to these systems.
Having an “On call” class/spec role to join the active groups directed at any bracket is a perfect addition to Faster Dungeon queues,
and PVP roles for grouping purposes.
A seamless queue between XPon and Xpoff players within PVE and PVP, needs to be reintegrated to the entire system.
Edit, wrong thread.
I see the premade argument more as a scapegoat from twinks. Trying to shift the blame. I also see the rise of premades prior to the separating of twinks as a symptom of twinking. Group with friends to stand a chance. Think of your average twink, how many people does it take to bring him down? 3? 4? Half the BG? Now imagine there’s 3 of them. It’s not great going against a premade, sure. But it’s a hell of a lot better than going against a twink. I’ve seen several instances of premades losing to randos. But I’ve never seen a group of twinks losing to a group of randos. It blows my mind that you believe they are on equal grounds.
There’s a reason premades are matched at max level. Something they can do because it’s all 120s in the same pool of players. If you are under honor level 30 and join a 30+ honor level player you are pulled to their Bgs. There’s a reason for that.
But we aren’t talking about max level here, we are talking about leveling. While leveling i’m not outgearing the average player by 50+ ilvls and 100k HP. When i’m grouping up with some lowbies at max level to help them get on their feet, it really sucks for the other guy, and it’s pretty unfair. But at least i’m cultivating the PvP community and not giving it a bad name like you guys are doing.
Not to mention (again) the elephant in the room. Blizzard supports premades, and it doesn’t support twinking.
I don’t think anyone honestly believes they’re on equal ground. It seems that blame is attempted to be applied to anything else in the form of rationalizations for misdirection purposes. The same logical fallacies were attempted in Wrath. It too went over like a lead balloon.
Going up against premades sucked sometimes. I remember there were even some servers that weren’t even an issue.
Player A: Oh crap! It’s a premade!
Player B: lol it’s just insert known servers here
But even less of an issue because those premades made an effort to get the BG over. Their norm wasn’t sitting in the middle or GY farming HKs. So you didn’t have to worry about most people deliberately dragging a BG out well beyond what it should.
I wish there was an archive of the old forums. I was going to quote the blue who said “we don’t support twinking, we’ve just been letting it happen.”
Moonguard. The server you’re looking for is Moonguard.
It very well could have been. I remember there were like 3 servers where you didn’t even bat an eye.
Point is most don’t premade low levels. If we want to talk about advantages a premade against hushpups of wow is a big one.
But it’s not a big one in lower levels. It’s a small one. Because people are on the same playing field gear wise. And even in the 10-19 bracket, if you think heirlooms will give us a huge advantage, sure they will. And after 3 -4 wins we will be off to the next bracket, instead of sticking around for years.
I miss the old PvP days, even after the WoTLK twink split. Had such a good community. I still remember seeing the We Kill People guild tag on my old twink and crapping my pants thinking about going against them.
The true twinks did love that as well. The community was closer than ever and people got along much better. It’s just the crappy transitions and waiting for the dust to settle.
The quote is out there and if you read the whole thing instead of just that sub-section of the whole statement, they also say they “technically support twinking” with the inclusion of the XP on/off switch.
Nothing wrong with Twinking.
Thank you! “Technically” Now those who still believe it’s “fully” can quit lying to themselves!
That’s the most PC response to twinking i’ve ever seen.
Either the support is there, or it’s not. There is no middle ground.
Now that we have confirmed that, how about premades at lower levels?
Surely we will be utilizing the best options, as provided.
I wish you were correct, I really do. However, “it’s fully supported” means just that, fully. “Technically” as they did a little something but that’s it.
