Twinks, AI and Separate XPoff Queues

I hear there is AI coming to BG’s, and as Drouglag pointed out in this Thread: https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/vs-ai-bgs-are-coming/68262/68

I think they are spot on with this, but not in the way he/she thinks.

From my other post asking what is wrong with an XPoff only queue, there were two issues with that system :

1.Queue times are longer.
2.Players who twink with XPoff like to be OP vs most other players.

I think the new AI in BG’s would be a perfect solution to this, all twinks can queue together and the rest of the spots can fill with AI.

Queue times go down and they can be OP against the AI backfill.

I feel like a quest mob when playing against an XPoff twink as it is, so I could easily be replaced by an AI as twink fodder.

Thoughts?

The whole reason for participating in pvp and escaping the drudgery of scripted pve encounters is to fight against actual ppl isn’t it??? Adding a bot to a pvp encounter is like bringing the island invasions to bgs. Plz god no.

Terrible idea, i mean why is it you can’t accept that people with better gear will win in pvp? i mean thats what you expect right? what are you doing with your characters while leveling that should ensure that you continue to win in pvp from 1-120? You get so much xp from just doing anything in WoW that now you insist on having no competition while you play. You want mobs on easy mode in pve and pvp where gear doesnt matter. BGs are for pvp not casual xp cause you are bored.

Battlegrounds are for player vs player.
The AI system will be good for teaching players how to prepare for war. Hopefully they implement some form of competitive environment that players can learn how to understand PVP and its item system.
I will save a spot on the forums for all the complaints if they are too hard to faceroll through. It should be awesome!

I think AI and player versus player absolutely do not belong together, at least not at the max lvl. I’m definitely not looking forward to annoying island expedition ai “players” in bgs if that ever happens :expressionless:

Blizz has bigger problems to worry about, than the seperation of xp on and off demerges. Big changes like this only happen once an Xpac, i dont think complaining on the forums over and over again about the same thing is going to make them expedite the process (if there even is anything being done about the situation) If they were going to do anything about de-merging twinks from levelers it would of been announced when they made their statement about 119 twinks.

I have made two threads in likely the last year and these two are the first in the BG forum.

I asked a question in the first to try to understand why XPoff queues were bad, and then in this one proposed a solution based on what I heard in the other.

They’re capable of focusing on more than one thing.

Complaining is the only way anything changes, not only in the game but in real life. And Blizzard has been quick enough to make changes in the fast.

I completely support the use of AI for backfill and to solve q times and matchmaking of premade vs pugs

There is no Xpoff queues. Blizzard understands that keeping the player base together is key. What they have done to remedy any issues, was a massive overhaul to all items in WoW for BFA.
Attention and awareness has been made to keep things balanced for all.

The correspondence has solidified this process of balancing for all.

There were XPoff queues. If they were still here, I wouldn’t have bothered.

XPoff twinks feel bad to play against while levelling and playing BG’s. Way more so than 120 BG’s even on a fresh 120.

I agree that AI vP is not PvP, but the average BG player while levelling is about the difficulty of a quest mob for a geared XPoff twink. So why not replace them with quest mobs with better abilities?

Now with the advent of Experience boosting options it is a much better era for experience within Battlegrounds.

I am not looking for the fastest way to 120, why bring that up? I want to BG while levelling because I enjoy PvP. XPoff twinks with an infinite amount of time to get BiS gear is not even remotely enjoyable to play against. And yes I am aware that some BiS gear can be bought on the AH.

I really would love a thriving XPoff BG community where everyone who wants this can have competitive games without needing levelling players to use as fodder. I know there have been XPoff players who have mentioned this as a great reason to keep separate queues, the community and competition were fantastic.

Unless being OP vs most players is what you like the most about XPoff twinking, then this of course XPoff queues won’t be your cup of tea.

If queue times are the issue, I am just trying to think of how to improve that.

Why not post on your 19s or 29s?
