I doubt i have any toons that are 19 or 29, but I will check for you.
EDIT: nope don’t have any, why does that matter?

This is pretty spot on, I don’t understand the hill that most twinks are choosing to die on. Separating XP-off queues and adding an AI to auto-fill spots after a certain threshold would be nearly indistinguishable from what BGs are now. Twinks are stubborn and/or enjoy facerolling so much they refuse to acknowledge this.
However, implementing this won’t purify XP-on queues. There will still be fully-enchanted heirloom users with a few niche items running FotM specs filling the void of dedicated twinks (also leveler premades).
TL;DR – The best solution is to avoid what you find unfun. I’m rarely queueing on this twink anymore because I find it boring. Do your best to fight fire with fire (gear) or level alternatively.
Why not backfill for the new player? Players with Honor Levels under level 30 can have an environment where they can learn, against the AI. Twinks don’t want AIvP, they want PvP.
it could work in both ques, ya good idea.
Added with the guaranteed longer queue times, equates to a downgrade.
I don’t think anyone really wants this. Just trying to think of who it might affect the least. I know twinks want PVP, but currently it comes at a heavy cost to those who choose not to turn their XP off. With XPoff there is an infinite amount of time to get BiS gear and it gives a huge advantage compared to heirloom gear and quest rewards which I imagine is what most people are wearing.
I have an honour level higher than 30 and I find low level BG’s with XPoff twinks horrid. If I am lucky there are none, and the game is enjoyable. If I am unlucky and they are in the game I wish I didn’t queue.
Again, if Twinks want competitive high lvl pvp at low levels, it would be great if that could happen without drastically increasing queue times. I thought this solution had the least impact, because of how large the gear disparity is between twinks and the majority of the players in BG’s.
If Twinks want to just smash the under geared majority, then that is a different issue, and an one that likely should not be part of the equation.
Be specific?

This is an old document, but it is still very relevant.
BFA scaling system in effect.
Go play a BG on a new toon with heirlooms, when you come across an XPoff twink, you will get your specifics.
Here is the link for you to observe the “Large disparity” you speak of.

Are we playing the same game?
My xp isn’t turned off and I’m having a good time.
Fear my twink gear. This is what I use. Besides the Legion invasion gear, it’s mostly BoA’s.
I do just fine. The gear complaining is exaggerated.
the advantage is more than just gear and the infinite amount of time XPoff twinks have to acquire whatever is BiS. They also play more at that level and are of course going to also have more skill at playing that toon at that level. Toons change over time and levelling moves at such a pace that a level 19 vs 29 vs 69 toon is very different from each other as are all the other class’s abilities. So, your average levellers spend only a few hours in each bracket.
I think skill and spending time to acquire skill is awesome. I think finding out which stats are best and what items give you those stats is also awesome, it is an RPG! The combination of the two makes for a huge disparity.
XPoff is unfair in that way, infinite time to develop skills at that level and get BiS gear for that level.
ya you said earlier that you guys where getting gy camped and would not res, but you where having a blast. so your version of fun might differ from others.
Skill…
Now it’s skill.
/sigh.
The “eeek that was fun” was sarcasm. However, I’m level 33 and that was 1 of 2 times we were gy camped. They also had a 6 man premade out of 10 so even non twinks that outcome would have been the same.
so you are saying that getting graveyard camped is not fun right? Thank you, I will remember this post.
Even at 120 it’s not fun to be on a team bad enough to get GY camped, correct
good, we have some common ground. How do you think a new player would react to getting gy camped?
Again with the new player? Maybe they should have class brackets as well if we are only focusing on them
At the moment I am trying to understand if you care about other players or new players, thats why I am asking. So at this very moment in this conversation “How do you think new players feel about getting gy stomped?”
