I have been in a BG the last three times in a row with a guy wearing legion greens with no gems, and he is doing fine damage wise. Gear is so easy to get, there just isn’t excuse to -not- get some gear to be competitive while leveling.

I’m doubting you’ve done this lately.
ICC gear is not as good as BC dungeon gear. A lot of the BiS pieces are very rare. You’d farm them for years to get them. You were incredibly lucky.

Here’s one that doesn’t follow my normal naming convention:
This toon was geared in 1 SOO run, 2 ring purchases that probably cost me about 500g, and a trinket that is always available for any person to pick up 1 time. It hit 35 and then was in BGs in under 2-3 hours. Since hitting 39, it has been used in twink v twink war games and holds its own against the players that do have full BiS gear and the broken 5/6 gems.
If it is able to do that in a twink only match, it’s more than fine for playing in normal matches that wouldn’t contain a full team of geared twinks.
I honestly don’t know what gear to try and get anymore since the squish, I was actually just farming for invincible, and took this character along for the ride. Free gear lol.

Absolutely! I twinked a little before the exp. off separation, quit to go play FFXI with some friends, and came back after the squish to find so much changed as far as what I should be trying to farm.
Always happy for the help and chance to make new friends.

You can find guides there for each bracket that go into much greater detail than I did. You’ll also find in-game communities to join for help farming/carry trades/war games etc

I got some pieces of gear in Sunwell and ICC, but they weren’t upgrades over the blue 29 pieces with multiple sockets.
BC heroic dungeons. BC normal dungeons give higher ilvl gear at 30 than heroic ones.

Would you do a BG on there and post a sceeenshot of your damage if you get a chance? Guarantee you outdmg the majority (if not all) of the bg, by a long shot too.
i have 4x lvl 20 vet twinks, and i love pvp bgs. So fun, ive been 20 twinking since 2011.
You don’t even need a subscription. Before we had f2p 20 twinks, had literally 4-6 minute bg que pops on both sides, you had to play vs other f2p people. Aparently alot of new people to wow stayed in this bracket for weeks- a few months, before moving on to the real game, they would farm hierlooms and pvp.
This all changed when blizzard allowed f2p/vet 20 twinks to be in lvl bgs. Mind you they scale the hp in the 20-29 brakcet, but still with the gems and enchants you will have a advantage. If you play a op spec you will dominate the bgs.
I literally play a 20 twinked out demo lock in bgs, which is one of the weakest specs in pvp in bgs, and i have a 2-1 kd, a 5-1 kd on my surv hunter, a 2-1kd on my shadow priest and a 1.5-1 kd on elmental shaman who is undergeared by twink standards.
Hp wise the avg hp in this bracket is 2700, due to scaling. on avg a twink will have 2700-2900 but do about 20 percent more dmg and have about 15 percent more dmg reduction and 15 percent more healing.
i havent played at max lvl in 3-4 years. i soley only play at lvl 20, and do bgs, then log off.
Thats a lie, i have 4x lvl 20 twinks, the avg hp in the bracket is 2700, hp for geared toons, even undegeared and people with missing gear hit easily 2400-2500 hp. As long as your geared you will be at about 2700 hp due to scaling.

Entire issue is allowing people who are JUST LEVELING to enjoy not being insta gibbed in a single gcd by no lifer twinks.
Why are people who are literally just trying to level through treated with such contempt by blizzard?
Like me. I just want to enjoy a bg here and there to break up the mind numbing grind, but i can’t unless i spend hundreds of thousand of gold on gear, gems, and enchants to be killed in 2 gcds instead of 1.
