Twilight Protocols are so unfun

What class/role do you play and why do you feel this way?

Really? I find Deadmines to be one of the easiest. Only issues I’ve run into with it is people trying and failing the 2 second boat wheel skip and causing us to have to wait 5 minutes for them to swim back

Dark is prio because the adds fixate which reduces bronze buff and lowers overall dps.

Cobalt is next because of mana burn.

Then it is green for melee stacks and red for ranged.

By handling it in that way you can lessen overall damage taken and maximize output.

I play a 385 Bear and there are a myriad of issues.

Foe Reaper will harvest and run into the Globs that now randomly spawn - ALSO, Slags now spawn MUCH faster than before to the point of where you get 2 or 3. OR Overdrives into the globs and we can’t do anything, thus get all 3 effects.

Ripsnarl was a similar situation, globs would spawn and he’d run into them.

Cookie is similar…Even when doing all of the mechanics.

It’s not fun, at all.

They’re way more interesting than the new normal dungeons that got added.

The dragon buffs make it so you absolutely blast, and worth it alone. Also makes it so you need to use some braincells for once.

I can’t even stand the normal heroic Deadmines. I want nothing to do with the H+ versions. Getting DM is an instant drop group for me.

It’s actually Cobalt > Dark > Amber until they fix the mana add. Currently if the add dies to cleave too fast it leaves all mana users completely oom. If you have at least one mana using dps, you should usually always kill the cobalt first. Dark is easy to deal with.

The adds were way worse before they got nerfed, now I’d put them near the bottom of priority…if people would stop running circles and just stack up so they can be cleaved fuuuuuuu

Before the nerf (I guess) I never noticed them anyway, because you could kill cobalt and dark before they triggered.

But I would still say that dealing with adds < all your casters being oom.

Yeah people are running around because they don’t want their bronze stacks to drop… Which is also the reason why people still want to kill dark instead of cobolt.

When I see it I just sigh and do what they want, I tried telling multiple groups to get closer for searing, spread for acid, stack for dark etc. people don’t read it in the moment.

I saw this coming when those people called Infernos (Boring) I mean sure they were a bit too long but I enjoyed them for what they were, catch up dungeon with a slight increase in difficulty Make it 50% HP increase and it would have been fine, but then people would complain it was (Too easy).

Even thought I never had any issues in any infernos I read topic of people calling them too hard already, so when I did those Ooze mechanics I knew instantly it would create a wall for a lot of people, remove the Ooze and those dungeons will be fine.

I adapted to the Ooze Mechanics and its not a big problem anymore, but nobody seem to like them which is why you get the 3 end time dungeons so many times in random queue since A LOT of people specific queue for them since easier/faster.

every version of H+ that has been shoehorned into classic has been unfun.

the only ones that were somewhat enjoyed were the ones that basically negated the affixes with player buffs, imo rendering the entire concept pointless

unfortunately their metrics will say they are loved because its the only way to gear up/valor cap, so everyone will run them for they first few weeks at least.

I’ve liked them except for inferno.

I like dungeons where you get conditional buffs but have more mechanics to handle. It’s the ultimate essence of gaming. Having to actually do something.

I didn’t have a problem with Infernos. Sure, they were a bit of a slog (due to the high hp) but otherwise they weren’t that bad. Never had any issues with people, unless they were pulling less than 15k dps. People generally weren’t toxic in Inferno.

Twilights though? My first run was the second day they were out, I mean, heck… it wasn’t even a full day yet, and people were already foaming at the mouth cussing at people because they didn’t know the mechanics. My guildies have also experienced a lot of toxicity from others while doing these dungeons. People are taking this content way too seriously. I mean, it’s not that it’s “hard” it just feels cheap. One wrong move and it can wipe the whole party. I don’t want this kind of experience going through the game for catch-up gear. I wish they would have made this optional and give other rewards, like unique or rare tmogs or something. Tbh, I don’t even pug these all that much anymore. I just don’t wanna deal with angry people >.>

I’d be fine with twilight if they removed the blobs but leave the dmg and hp buff for the enemies while letting us keep the dragon buffs.

Having to deal with blobs that turn invincible after you kill the first one of them especially on bosses that can’t be kited gets old really really fast.

Speedrunning the dungeon like we did in the… uhh… whatever version of heroics in wrath of the arthas that gave players a mega buff in hall of lightning was pretty fun.

Being turbo buffed and killing everything as fast as possible is better than what we actually have.

They buff the blue dragon buff and now dungeons are actually bearable since you can almost ignore the Ooze and just down the boss before he can do anything with enough range class on blue dragon buff as a ilvl 370 hunter I can do 40K DPS with ease on bosses which isn’t bad.

They also nerfed the HP of the Mana sphere and the HP/number of monster who spawn so yeah its more enjoyable now.

I don’t think I’ll ever understand people who look at just a health and damage buff and go “wow so innovative this is way more fun”. Like, genuine question, do you enjoy watching paint dry? How do you stay engaged with something when it doesn’t do anything to interact with you beyond “move out of this and survive that”?

Not to say twilight protocols are particularly innovative, hell the entire mechanic was straight copy/pasted from a Dragon Soul boss, but at least it’s something different. I couldn’t imagine going a third round of Cata dungeon farming where everything is exactly the same the numbers are just bigger

You’re supposed to pick one ooze to focus and ignore the other two. They go immune precisely so you can’t deal with them. You’re just choosing 2/3 mechanics to deal with on the boss.

That sounds incredibly boring.

You’re free to stay in Prince of Persia The Warrior Within or whatever the name of that expansion is if you want Mythic ++++++++++++++++

You are also free to idk not do twilight protocol as it’s optional content.
