I’m 100% sure tusks of mannoroth dropped for me a while ago (years ago) but now that warbands are here, I don’t see it unlocked on my warrior for some reason.
I tried to look on every toons I have if I still had it in bank or inventory but no luck… I might have dropped it a long time ago, is there a way I can retrieve the item even though it was a long time ago?
I really hope there’s a way to get it back!

Unless it’s linked to an achievement that awards it, then it’s long gone. Sorry to say.
Unfortunately, the ability to recover an item usually requires that the item be present in a character’s deleted inventory. In rare cases if the acquisition of the item provides an achievement we may be able to use that as verification, but otherwise, I’m afraid we’re unable to help recover them, sorry, Dreadful.
Thank you for the reply, what is the name of the achievement? And also was the achievement added during MoP or was it recently added?

I’ve checked in support and there’s no list at all, it has been too long… Oh well
The Item Restoration page shows the same list of items that we’d see. If it isn’t there, it has already been purged from the deleted inventory.
time to farm it again… I guess 
It may or may not be easier to farm it in Remix right now. You’d have to get geared enough, but if you can run it on mythic, then you only need to run it two days in a row to get the tusks. If I remember right. No RNG.
