Neither is having a .03% drop rate on a Boss transmog item when you can get a multitude of other mogs around 7% drop rates. Theres a difference between being rare and having to bang your head against the wall. Warglaive transmog for DH is rare but still very obtainable within the timewalking event. Illidan has around 7% drop rate for both hands which are legendaries. A pair of purple shoulders though at .03% is just ludacris.

Unreasonable old drop rates should be increased into a more reasonable range. People who farm these and other such unreasonably rare drops should be able to get them and move on instead of being stuck farming old content on multiple alts indefinitely.

I know I’m super late, but I just got these yesterday. They are definitely still obtainable. Took me 14 tries on heroic and 15 on mythic.

Yeah, tusks being in the same drop range as the world bosses mounts is kinda nuts tbh, if blizz increased the chance to 2-5% it would be enough i guess…
The tusk drop rate is just a social experiment to see who is crazy enough to farm those things.

Do you remember if it was mythic or heroic that you got them to drop from? Also was it a drop or bonus roll?
I’ve heard so many conflicting reports on it.
Someone responded to an old thread I made the other day stating that he just got them. So I believe they are still in game, just ridiculously difficult to get.

It does suck farming for it and the mount. Be it the 1% drop chance and how bloddy long the raid is. Soo nedded a skip
On the other side, it’s kind if funny seeing them drop and everyone goin nuts saying congrats and whispering to them tryin to buy it. I remember last year seeing both tusks AND the mount dropping to the same person. The rest of the raid (I like doing soo in groups, makes it less boring) went bat poop crazy
I have been farming BC raids for what seems like a decade and still do no have some of the drops I am looking for and still think this is not a good idea.
Classic/BC/Wrath drops are worse for certain since you’re only getting two or three pieces per boss. BC’s especially terrible since everything’s also spread across two or three different instances.
Also all the cloth will drop on anything that can’t use cloth. Everything plate drops for clothies.
At least you’re getting five or six things per boss from Cata onward, and it’s usually all from one instance.
Fun fact: I saw both glaives drop on my pally before the shield that I was after.
Damn I must be really unlucky. 3 months in farming for glaives and I have only had one drop.
