Seriously Pandaria came out almost 8 years ago now. So many bosses since have items they use you can obtain. Blackhands hammer is like 7-10% drop rate, Warglaives of Azzinoth, a legendary, sit around 4-7% drop rates, Sulfuras sits around an 8% drop rate from firelands, The belt, shoulders, and staff that Archimonde use are obtainable for mog and have around 7% drop rates. I can keep this list going. So why is it of all these that Tusks of Mannoroth still remain at a .03%. Like ya I get it, you want a rare item for mog, but theres rare and then theirs a carrot on a stick. Can I have a response on if this drop rate can ever be modified or addressed? Half of the way I enjoy WoW is collecting sets and transmog items. Whats so special about Tusks over the other boss transmogs that you have to give it a .03% drop chance. Seriously farming these the last 7 years is akin to banging your head against a wall. I multiple plate toons and on this one alone I have done 77 kills. Factor that with my other plate toons and Im actually over 600 kills currently. So ya can this be addressed… ever.
Because they said the item has too much lore power, it shouldn’t even be in the game, so they made the drop rate 1 in 10,000 to pretty much “remove” it from the game.
Same with Atiesh, why does a random hobo have the most important staff in azeroth? bad decision on blizzards part.
I read that they did remove them. Wowhead and Icyveins (I think) stated that they are no longer available. I could be wrong, tho.
it does still exist but there is no data like once a year lol
those are removed versions.
mists of pandaria had normal heroic mythic and flex
now the only garrosh that drops tusks I think is mythic garrosh or heroic garrosh bonus rolls or some dumb crap like that to make it even harder to get
Well, not quite removed, but damn close enuff. lol
yeah people report getting them on bonus rolls sometimes, hardly ever seen a screenshot of a garrosh loot drop
but you need two of them, and one is offhand so you need two different ones.
After years of farming I just got them two weeks ago.
I don’t recall blizzard ever saying this, I would also argue that both Sulfuras and Warglaives have exceedingly more “lore power” over tusks. Both items of which are very obtainable for transmog.
It was just to answer your question “whats the reason” I remember someone once saying its a lore item and lore items are typically squashed or something.
also the tusks of mannoroth are supposed to be in thralls possession or something, so it makes no sense for us to have them.
I forget.
Bliz lore is a cheap excuse. We all had legendary weapons and armor last expac and they get to sit in our banks useless now.
They look better on my Mag’har warrior than they ever would on Thrall. So glad we’re able to get them.
Also OP, they dropped for me on my warrior about 2 months ago. I’d assume that the drop rate is close or at the same drop rate that the mount is at.
Probably because they don’t want 253959202 scuffed garroshes walking around
It’s ok for something to be rare, even if it’s old.
But Ashbringer is ok though.
Nahhh

Looks at my multitude of kills and no hammer
Wimpers adorably I wish mine would drop…
