You’re viewing the map/bg from the perspective of trying to acquire an outside map/bg resource. You’re actively saying that any engagement of PvP is in opposition to that but, in reality PvPing makes you win when you’re not in the lead. Is backcapping objectives illogical? Is defending objectives illogical? Are people intended to just rush north/south as fast as possible and just slay a boss? Why not put Drek + Van outside the starting gates and see which teams slays him faster if that is intention and only aspect of the game you’re allowed to play?

I’d love it if they’d just move Drek and Van infront of the caves, and yes thats how your supposed to play.
Understood, you’re not meant for Classic. I’d suggest playing a different game if your thoughts on AV is to be purely a boss kill map. It doesn’t align with the history of the BG when objectives were entrenched for hours nor does it align with the changes Blizzard made with adding reinforcements to end the game.

Wrong, as someone who spent alot of time farming AV in TBC and WoLK when those expansions where current content, the AV rush meta has existed since at least TBC when they changed the Battleground to give it a limit. Since that time the way it’s been played is to rush it. Maybe you should go play Era?
It “existed” but not every game ended with the boss being killed. The games ended with the reinforcement counter hitting zero as well. The game lasted for hours previously and that wasn’t purely a PvE matchup for both sides. Players actively engaged with one another. I left AV with 200+ KBs back in Vanilla when I was ranking up in 06.
You’re playing in my era. People didn’t whine to Blizzard GMs that people were PvPing. They complained mostly that AVs didn’t end which is why they added reinforcement counters. Did anyone whine? Some did which weren’t the PvPers but, PvP tourists looking to min/max for gear. An outside commodity of the BG because they wanted to get last season epics. Tourists. You’re a tourist.

Lol who still does objectives? Just run to Drek and unga bunga him down. AV mobs are so weak right now it’s stupid and I really wish Blizz would buff Drek and Van so that it forced you to do towers.
Found another kid who thinks he can pull Drek with 3 guards up. LOL

It would be funny if archers on the towers and bunkers shot people for 15k. For the BG to make sense it should be nearly impossible to ride past a tower before you destroy it.

Is 100% subjective. I’m sure there’s someone out there that finds it fun to be blasted in the face with 2x4’s. It’s also NOT the most efficient way to get rid of pimples on your face. Do you get the point yet?
There’s no way to verify this, because this is how you play the game, and defending a tower from a possible attack so that your teams gets more honor at the game’s end, is just as important as killing people in these turtles some of you fools love so much.
I liked AV more when it wasn’t a 10 minute rush to kill the other faction’s general.
Almost like saying “I like Vanilla WoW more”. Could be true for you, if it is, then quit?
If you don’t like PVP don’t join BGs.
