I’m not sure why it’s hard to understand that PvP existed prior to rewards, but either way, rewards are bad for PvP.

You don’t need to farm honor per hour, you can level in wrath of the lich king just fine without it. A lot of the people who want to have fun want to play the game and pvp. it’s an MMO you dork.
Yeah, all the horde rerolling to the fotm to keep their pvp edge is really showing particularly in the alliance av strategies.
I just play the 10s and 15 mans now if its going to take 20 minutes a game anyways

Tough to say actually. You’re right in that a lot of folks don’t want to defend, but I’m not sure if it’s because they’re scared to. I think it’s a combination of being focused on the action and maybe a bit of what I said before, being focused on the rewards that come at the end of the game, so trying to win or take the shortest route to the next BG?
That said, I think people do purposefully turtle… a lot. It was the classic Horde strategy throughout most of AV’s history. I’m not even judging, it was just the most successful winning strategy for the BG due to it’s terrain design. I’ve been on the receiving end of enough Horde turtles/scorched earth games to respect it.
I agree! They are fun! My point above was really about the fun being in conflict with the reward. I find fun still wins out for me though… I used to have some great times stalling out Horde offense by stealthing into Van’s room and using Cyclone on their tanks to try to buy our offense more time

Turtles are in style now it seems.
Its a horde strategy. If we can’t beat you guys in AV, might as well make everyone’s life miserable for the next hour.

AV isn’t for PVP its for farming honor, you want PVP go do WSG or AB.
Only if you don’t like PvP. Then again, that’s what dungeons and raids are for.
