Turn WoW Coin into a crypto where players help mine it

And incentivize them
It already has an established value
You’re welcome

Cryptocurrency is one of the biggest wastes of computational resources in the world, no thank you.

The year is 2099, the WoW coin is at its all time high…half a billion old world USD. My great grandson owes a college debt of 25 WoW coins. I tell him to suck it up, that back in my day we just grinded out hyperspawns, he just tells me to “shut it millennial” so I go back to my Pokemon Gold game…times were better then.

Crypto (yes, all of it) is the trojan horse for CBDC. I’ll pass but thank you.

This is the dumbest thing that I have read on the internet today.

This is bad even for a Sunday thread.

yeah…I do not like the direction its all going.
I wouldnt personally do crypto, but I can see why many do. But now that governments are pushing digital currency you just know theyre going to go hard after BC and all other DCs to keep them from competing.
I got my money on “we need to shut down BC and other DC’s because criminals are using them” and I think eventually they’ll do the same thing to physical gold and silver. “cartels are using gold for financial exchanges”… I can almost smell another Roosevelt-esque type confiscation thing coming.

It will all get centralized whether we like it or not at some point. I can understand the appeal, but once again, just one of those things I’ll resist on principle.

Demand that multiple forms of payment be acceptable whenever possible and don’t push digital further than convenience truly demands.

But sure, we don’t have enough problems with booster, bot and gold seller.
Add cryptos!
Kill WoW once and for all!

absolutely 100% agree.

Two of my credit card companies have already started tracking any purchases their customers are making at gun or sporting stores, lol. There was a big stink about it recently so I called and checked and sure enough. Its not just the purchase code like they always use…ie ‘gas’ versus ‘grocery’…theyve taken it a step further into trying to decipher if Im actually making purchases of guns and ammo.
I dont care what side of the fence youre on, it should worry all free men and women that their privacy is slowly eroding.

Oh I know :stuck_out_tongue:

We don’t want this kind of practice going further and as memeable as it is, it’s truly a possibility that you’ll be monitored and locked out of purchases if you aren’t, well, in lockstep with certain agendas.

Call me tinfoil crazy if you want but these are very real possibilities going forward.

It’s weird how it started off as just a simple digital currency

Now 99.99% of them exist solely as a way to make money

Now if only there was a name for that kind of scam, hmmmmmmm

If I get paid for helping mine it, then maybe. Paid in real money not made up funbucks.

Tell that to the 2013 Bitcoin owners, they’re on yachts now probably

Well.

Looks around

The alternative isn’t working
