Turbo healer

what are the best healers for turbo besides hpal

1 > rdruid
probably the best overall
rdruid has the most ‘good matchups’
the best output/control/mana

2 > hpal
the next best
it’s easier to be an okay hpal than it is an okay rdruid imo
insane output insane saves and unavoiable cc
downside it the output is less than rdruids / the control is less than rdruids / the mana is less than rdruids / and getting trained by something like ret warrior is easier for an rdruid to deal with than an hpal

3 > disc (probably)
disc is a really good noob healer
if you’re playing turbo like a rundown comp the way bad players play things like tsg or dhdk disc is just a more aggressive version of hpal
insane output insane defensive cds insane offensive utility
the downside is obviously mana but most lower tier disc players that wanna play things that aren’t jungle or rm are bad and winning/losing before mana matters anyways

4 > mw or rsham
mw and rsham both do incredibly well into warlocks
insane mana and solid anti wizard utility while also not being personally threatened by most wizard cleaves
both however struggle into melee, mw being really easily trained by high mobility bursty cleaves and rsham lacking the reliable consistent healing to deal with things like jungle or cleave mirrors imo

with all of that said every healing spec in the game is very easily >glad viable playing turbo and they all have different benefits with rdruid being the most versatile and hpal being the easiest in most scenarios

even tho rdruid is best healer for turbo by a mile most rdruids are doo doo so you should just play with an hpal or disc priest

Wouldn’t NF disc be chosen to assist in mana issues? I’ve noticed NF gives disc a mana advantage over kyr or venth typically - as most of them can handle long games and don’t get drained too quickly.

i mean having an additional external to rotate makes a difference
but NF hasn’t given meaningful mana back since season 2

like in unchained you could get like >10%? mana back per use but it’s like 2-3% or something since

In theory the final bloom trigger from purging lifebloom should deter players from spam purging hots but in reality it does nothing. Puts resto druid in a real awkward situation atm.

I mean I would see MW being better for the comp than disc, unironically.

Disc priests can get just get ran down by any melee cleave before the turbo has a chance to really get rolling, whereas a MW can survive that. Enhance being an insane hybrid also helps MW just play the long con while also providing very strong setup for goes.

it is

i think anyone asking OPs question falls into the camp that would play disc and win/lose in 90 seconds and wont have access to someone that can actually play mw well enough right now

but mw actually feels pretty good into a lot of things
wizards / rm / cleaves that cant kill the mw all feel great

it just feels bad into ultra high sustained damage comps like jungle
or high mobility/high disruption cleaves like dhdk or ww/x or kitty or even ret/war that can abuse mw super easily
or rdruids that know that if they w key as a bear at the mw the entire game the mw cant plant and cast when it needs to

All ik is that everytime I’ve qed into Rickblack’s turbo since WOD, I hate my life.

But literally any other healer turbo and idc give me my rating

yeah i don’t think Dîamond-Bonechewer is going to emulate rickblack in shadowlands though so

I’ma be real, I got not idea who that is.

All ik is rickblack is on a different level of MW than anyone else. Guy just doesn’t die and heals through the unhealable.

Yeah but they can never purge cenward which lasts like 20 seconds and makes your warrior extremely hard to kill and your enhance is already unkillable because every swirling currents swelling waves healing surge is like 46k healing. and chain harvest is aoe lay on hands

Rdruid isnt as good in comps where there are more than 1 kill target. In turbo usually only the warrior is the kill target unless you are fighting a comp that wants to 100-0 shaman in a stun (like rmp) which is still hard to do since warrior has disarm stun fear intervene and rally.

In ret warr usually only the ret is the kill target since if they train warrior ret has 3 different saves for him. In outlaw cleaves (outlaw fury or outlaw dk) usually only the outlaws melee partner is the kill target. In comps like these where there is only 1 viable kill target resto druid is completely broken because all you have to do is maintain cenward on guy most likely to die and its very hard for you to lose .

Pmuch one of the only ways I can see disc being advantageous for turbo is for the short games. Not having a reliable stun from the healer is also probably something that isn’t ideal for turbo.
