We’ve never seen player power boosted like this before in ANY raid season EVER. Why are people complaining so much about dinars?
It’s free bad luck protection, that we historically HAVE NOT HAD unless it was a pointless / short fated season that didn’t matter.
Why does everyone feel so entitled to mythic level raid loot? Heroic jastor, best in slots, etc are all HUGE upgrades that I’ll be happy to get since I havent killed those bosses on mythic.
Not to mention the upgrade tracks being bumped up X2 on our gear… this is going to honestly make content nowhere near as fun or enjoyable since it’ll all just fall over.
Heroic bosses will be dying in P1 with 18% buff, full dinars, etc. Do we really want this to be the norm?
It’s like people forgot that season 4 heroic Fyrakk died before p3 and that was only with a dinar system - no gear upgrade track increases on top of it.
Blizz, thank you for doing this system. This is already too much IMO and is going to cause mythic + io inflation to be insane and is really going to trivialize raid content.

Uh… gear absolutely could be upgraded.
Trinkets and Weapons purchased with Bullion will be at item level 493 and level 1/12 on the Awakened upgrade track. These items can be upgraded to the highest item level possible for that item in Mythic difficulty (including the Very Rare items) using Awakened Crests and Flightstones.

We’ve seen everything from OP welfare gear to massive nerfs to raids late season in the past - this is nothing new.
This is just Blizzard putting a bit more thought into how to keep as many subs as possible late season after most have long since completed whatever level of content they were aiming to complete.

I don’t remember them raising the upgrade cap on off pieces / tier gear during any of the fated seasons?

These super rare items are huge dps increases, even in heroic level. These are huge player power increases that we’ve historically never had in raid content that’s current.
Playerbase has become so needy that it HAS to have BIS everything or else the game “isn’t fun.”
Get a grip.
Raising hero track to 8 levels is good and should stick around.
Raising myth track to 8 levels is bad and shouldn’t be done at all.

You need 3 dinars for a piece of loot so that means 3 weeks of raiids to get it. Assuming you don’t need to upgrade the gear which you do so more grind for the currency for the upgrade.
You won’t be in full dinars maybe 2 pieces maximum before the bear tier comes out. Don’t lie if you don’t know anything about it.

These were balanced for current raid content at its release. These were not added later as a huge player bump in power, at mythic level i level with a RAISED i level cap on top of it.

This dinar system is designed to sell as many tokens as possible for mythic boost. Blizzard doesn’t care about the player base they care about the bottom line.

Perspective here: I don’t disagree with you, but this is the single LARGEST player power boost we have EVER gotten in any current competitive season (no, fated seasons don’t count at all)
Our i level / power after this will be so high it is going to trivialize all but end Mythic raid bosses. You will be seeing people doing 20’s in Mythic +. Is this really a good thing?
And if it IS a good thing, and a normal thing moving forward, then it’ll be a major stance change by Blizzard. Player base is whining incessantly as if this was something that’s been given every competitive season as the norm.

Because it’s upset M+ players - the most entitled raging players in WOW - and they aren’t shy i letting the forums know their displeasure at not being mailed mythic jastors when they log in to the game for that 0.9% DPS boost.

Truth be told - this literally only impacts the Mythic + players chasing title. Which is fair, but blizzard is not going to balance this around that small of a group.
Im a little over 3100 atm and getting myth track jastor vs heroic has literally almost zero bearing on how far I push this season. (Casual player here)
Back in wrath,. Heroics dungeons and raid bosses dropped token that could be turned tier pierces
