After Turalyon let the naruu have their way with his wife I have had zero interest in this character, and I think Blizzard knows that.
Maybe, there so much screen time available to so many characters. I still hope turalyon gets his when midnight comes. Who else is best fit for a nightmarish world fallen to darkness that mr paladin himself.
You mean him insulting the Horde in TWW, looking at the Horde with disgust, and his lieutenant riding on a horse with decapitated heads of the major horde races? Did we miss that character development?
I think youâre right, some people havenât been paying attention.
Great take to drop when the newest expansion isnât quite a month old. Brilliant.
He didnt insult them. Its just bantz. Turalyon having his alliance pride still should be celebrated not shunned upon. We need more patriots that bleed their faction colors not less
And the riding around on a horse with severed heads? Iâm calling it now, heâs going to be a raid boss.
Anduin will try to take his throne back and Turalyon isnât going to step down.
This is a narrative amateur problem.
Examples about the franchise.
Sargeras, a decade of building, short/nonfight in the end.
Examples outside the franchise.
You know lord of the rings? imagine how the trilogy would be if all battles happened only in the end, it would be boring as F.
But we had Sauron battle at start, then hobbits had to deal with Nazgul right at the start. Thats how a good narrative works.
I mean if that is all that leads you to belueve he will start a fsction war idk what to tell you. Why would turalyon refuse to leave the throne? Thats so out of character. Turalyon has it clear world ending threats beat faction wars⌠we already saw thatâŚ
iâll only remember turalyon for two things: sitting on the throne lookin bored n sloppy and being made to look like a chump by illidan
Plot contrivance.
Kinda out of character, but where will his head be in an expansion from now, and possibly after Alleria dies? How will that shape his views on the Alliance, Horde and Light, Void relationships?
Heâs sane now, seemingly. But what direction are the characters around him being taken?
If you think some random NPC using the standard pvp mount is character development Iâm not sure what to tell you.
Also him not liking the Horde has nothing to do with going full Light zealot.
The devs chose to use that mount and they chose to use those lines. They werenât there for no reason. If he was going to be another generic NPC he would have been given generic NPC dialogue, like every other hand-holdy NPC. His mindset and the mount werenât accidents.
Sorry, lots of edits, eating hot soup.
Because-- cough cough ahem we arent allowed to say why.
RIP Turalyon. You will be missed.
When most of his character is in novels and not in game, thatâs bound to happen.
What does this even mean? How does he not?
They have to do this and the amount they shelve the character scales with how powerful they are.
If theyâre constantly available and very strong, then it is less believable when the story encounters a great threat.
Shonen anime provides great examples of this because they often write themselves into a corner with increasing threats being too difficult to believe when their God tier characters are available
Rip Gojo
This is a good point and a lot of people overlook it. If the lore characters teamed up and were allowed to be fully powered, we probably wouldnât even need to be here and weâd be watching them in a movie rather than playing with them in a game.
Same reason they nerfed Thrall and took away the dragons powers, so they could have a story to get them back.
Same reason Illidan and Sylvie are âbusyâ
Yes thats a good point, this is a problem made by devs themselves.
Turalyon insât suposed to be in the frontline in the first place.
Take Warhammer as an example, Primarchs are almost never available. Turalyon is suposed to be commanding his troops, not in the frontline, in the moment he is forced to be in the frontline he would explode them with legendary paladin powers.
Now THATâS my king!
