I don’t think people understand this based on how much (innocent & unintentional) misinformation on SL questing/campaign there is. Blizzard themselves have made it as confusing as possible by offering ToF when you arrive in SL as a max level character who hasn’t done the campaign yet, but then it auto locks you into campaign without the ToF option. Like there’s some sort of bug that still prompts ToF without actually giving it to you and it just leads to so much confusion.
Every time you guys tell me something new about the hellscape that is SL, I feel my soul dying a little more and more. It’s hard to get the energy to even finish out the campaign lol
Yea my new goblin monk can’t access Zereth Mortis or any of the endgame zones. That really sucks. Who knows why they removed that skip… they should honestly put it back… like seriously locking behind instances and stuff behind a campaign? That really sucks I should hope they address this and put the campaign skip back.
Yeah, it’s because you finished the campaign. I got the prompt yesterday without finishing the campaign when I arrived in SL, but then it auto-locked me into Campaign which was even more confusing because it was like ‘you can pick ToF’. Again I didn’t pick campaign, it forced it and I was frustrated and tried to hunt for answers / open a ticket (got nothing from GMs). Eventually found a Blizz faq article that was like ‘uhhhh yeah you shouldn’t have ToF anymore’ or something.
Exactly, can’t have everything just handed to you on a platter, you gotta play the game and actually try to obtain things like everyone else.
I think you’re playing the wrong game if WoW seems like work to you then. If you’re not having fun feel free to move on to some other game as a game’s meant to be fun, if you’re not having fun then why play?
Thankfully Anima isn’t too bad compared to how it was at launch. When you start needing anima, head to Zereth. Just, go there straight away and tear up as many rares as possible. You’ll get enough anima
Now, the offerings are going to be a problem early on. One of your upgrade buildings is the Anima Conductor where you set it to go to a certain area in the zone, and this is the grateful offering intended way to obtain. By killing stuff over there, you can get Grateful Offerings. However its only really kind of a max of 20ish a day normally. These are going to absolutely SUCK to get early on, though if you manage to get enough anima you can just slam the thing into overdrive and max power, so it’ll give you double.
If you absolutely want to cheat the system? Go Necrolords and grab the Stitchyard. Clyde sells boxes that have a good chance to give you offerings.
…which nets you a ton of transmogs in the process.
surely that’s a good thing?
maybe it’s to do with the time of day when you play?
i find SL zones to be always alive with players.
I missed most of SL, and am only going back now to get stuff done.
I’m kind of not sure why people hated on it so much.
…I guess it’s just edgy to hate everything these days.
OP getting filtered by just getting to renown 80 once. Lmao
Imagine doing that for all 4 armor types and 4 each covenant (16 times) for just renown 80 alone. AND that’s all before doing the covenant activities and restricted reps, for 4x times too.
And that’s all before the genesis mote farm too.
You think you are in the abyss and are just in the shallow end so far.
Two toons, max rep with all SL factions. Picked up all but 1 Korthia rare mounts, 80 renown with 3 of 4 covenants. Purchased all relevant renown based xmog sets and mounts.
Total time invested: 3 weeks.
Still managed to find time to get aotc, ksm/ksh, progress current patch story line, and run all my legacy content for mounts during that time.
Its really not that difficult or time consuming. You just have to do the diligent research to figure out how to do it efficiently.
Complaining on the forums is not efficient or conducive to getting it done.
No, I’m a figment fo your imagination and this is a fever dream. Please go to the hospital immediately, your vitals are off the charts. Thank you for the bump btw.
