I’m in the same boat. Have a handful of people that are trying so hard to entice me back yet every time I log in, I do like 2 keys and log off. I’m sincerely struggling to fall back in love with retail. I feel like such a fool.

Usually making a new character and putzing around gives me some kind of direction. Eases me back in before doing the new content on my main.

Try a new character.
Run old dungeons for mounts you missed.
Level in an old favorite zone.
Work on professions.
Race dragons.
Clean your characters bank.
Try every food in Azeroth.
Battle pets.
Log off an take a nap.

I’ve been at it, after a 10yr break, for a bit over 1yr and am still hoping for a beautiful Sunrise to split the eastern skies and recover the fun of the the original wow.

u wont believe me if I say I leveled over 50 charts… EU and US servers.
I did old dungeons… I did everything so far…
and I have not been playing for almost a year or so… I log 1 hour log off 20mins and log off…
was pissed when I found out Mage Tower Appearance wont be account wide from EU to US I did not know they sperate games Technically. thought account wide is account wide… am the stupid one I guess.

Assuming you are new to DF and that you’re trying to gear a character:
Get to max level. Finish the story quests especially Zaralek Cavern for a full set of low gear, but allows you to jump into other stuff. Do a time rift and it’s weekly for a veteran piece of gear. Do the 5 heroic dungeons for a champion piece of gear weekly. This week is also the 4 mythic weekly quest so you can get a piece of heroic raid gear.

I feel you, I do that all the time, you probably need a break, or a whole expansion break as I am afraid is my issue. Been having the same issue, resubbed twice since quitting half-way through heroic progression, with 2 months of break between them and still, I just don’t think I enjoy M+ and Raiding anymore, at best I could try learning PvP but eh… Without those 3, the pillars of end game progression, WoW is kinda pointless to me since I am not a collector.
No idea what you find enjoyable in game, but still, if you log in, walk in circles for 5 mins and log out, I would just recommend finding something else to play until you get that MMO itch again.

middle of expansion is pretty bad time to returtn. Try next expansion from start
LOL, I totally believe you, I have tons of characters and still took a break at the beginning of this year.
Sometimes a break can really help. Now that I am back I have leveling on my mind, but it really took that break from the game to get me back into wanting to play again.
Maybe you just weren’t ready to come back, or haven’t found that spark to interest you again.
Try pressing M then reading what’s in your quest log. Or you could just use the character screen update and go from there.
Maybe make a plan or like road map of what you’re trying to accomplish in WOW
So, maybe try to settle on a class or spec you want to learn or start fresh.
Make friends
Do stupid stuff in this game, like screwing around in LFR or whatnot, nobody says you have to take the game seriously.
Earn mounts or transmog
The options are endless.

Definitely a troll post. I guess you paid for a chinese character boost to level so far. Just play the game. That is how you learn.
It helps. Leveling lock time eases me in since been away classic focused for over a year and half really.
Sites help too. Or jsut follow breadcrumbs. and enjoy the chaos of meandering aimlessly with a wall of quests to hammer out.
Coming off a “regimented” daily routine in wrath…its nice just meandering. It has appeal over loop of something (dailies) on char 2…not 1 (they were yesterday). Char 3 tomorrow!

I think if it feels like you’re forcing yourself, play something else.
It’s just a game you have so many other options
cancel your sub. Delete your account and move on to another game. Just means you’ve outgrown wow
