Trust 3 today! WOOT!

It is per character at this time.

Yes, because wow forums are per character the character is required to be on for the 50 days

So those posters who have a character suspended have up to 49 more to post on while their one is suspended? That … ummmm… is… oh well.

They started time gating the new raid and allied races, now it’s forum privileges.

I mean, gratz and all. Now you can post gifs and make a Wiki. Like everyone has been doing on every other platform forever.

But I’m sure enforced social hierarchies on a gaming message board will turn out swell.

Now I can use this when someone doesn’t clearly read but yet feels the need to reply

you could… but it’s not even loading for me.

I’m just happy that I can finally make my megathread look good with pictures and such, that’s why I’m a happy camper.

In my experience, the people who give some of the best feedback about the game are people who are passionate about WoW. People who are very passionate about WoW sometimes cross over the line and find themselves on the wrong end of a suspension. Yes, they need to learn how to post a little more respectfully, but that doesn’t mean all their feedback is invalid, or that they wouldn’t be a useful addition to the next alpha or beta.

(As well, WoW has been around for a long time. We need feedback from both newbies and ancients. As one of the old-timers, I can say that I’ve matured quite a bit IRL since the game came out in 2004, and may be slightly less prone to getting upset over game drama, participating in an in-game protest, and getting crowd-controlled with a 3 hour suspension by a GM. )

I think that’s a lot of the concern here- trust level as a way to keep the forums from turning into spammer paradise isn’t a bad idea, but if it turns into a situation where you need trust level 3 to have your posts taken seriously, that’s going to exclude some good posters and breed resentment.

Congrats to the new level 3s, though! :star2:

They want you to no-life the forums, and then it can decay? These forums are certainly not worth all that.

If they only cared enough about the state of the game as much as they do cozying up to blizzard forum mods that don’t actually give a crap about them.

Some people make it their goal to be miserable, especially lately.

Also note that trust 3 really makes no difference and there’s no way to tell unless someone posts a gif or picture. Feedback in general needs neither things, I don’t think T3 people will be taken more seriously than anyone else. Also T3= / = purely positive feedback. It means some of us can give negative feedback as well without crossing the line. I have many times myself.

Looks like that “Find a Guild” thread I made prevented me from getting Trust Level 3, hilariously enough. Encouraging people to socialize bit me in the rear. Ah well.

Heh. We were told that CMs are supposed to be looking for feedback, not taking it from just the same 20 people and I thought everyone was on equal footing to be able to share their feedback and actually have it heard, but don’t worry I’m not going to believe something like that anymore.

They even gate the forums, lmao.

Nobody trusts me. Probably because of all the sneaking up and stabbing people and taking their stuff. And even when I don’t stab them I’m pick pocketing their half eaten sausages.

So Siyanati thinks that TL3 can be re earned, but isn’t 100% sure. If they don’t know for sure, that makes me think that Bliz hasn’t overly given those details out (if Bliz had, I’d suspect Siyanati would know since they’ve been using the new forums for far longer than most of us).

So it could go either way.
