Although I see nothing but complaining on these forums, I can truly say I am excited about Burning Crusade. I spent more good times playing it the first time around than in any other expansion and I cannot wait to get a taste of reliving it again.
The expansion wasn’t perfect by any means, and it still carried over a lot of what made vanilla frustrating but it was much better than vanilla for QoL stuff for sure.
People need to realize that nothing is perfect and the fact that you are going to be able to play this expansion over and get another chance to relive the past is great; most never get this opportunity so for once people be thankful.
It isn’t an exact replica of the TBC and that is ok too. The overall feel of TBC is there and although there are a few minor changes for the better that is good too. As in any remake, there are bound to be some minor changes. The good thing about remakes is there is an opportunity to correct some issues that were present back in the original and fix things. I welcome better coding and the changes that are taking place in the game even the boosts and packages they are selling.
More boosts will hopefully bring in more people to play the expansion that currently were turned off by not wanting to invest a month of two of time leveling again, just so they could experience the end game. I understand people feeling cheated by this as they feel that since they had to level everyone else should. And its ok to feel this way. But everyone has different situations in life things aren’t always fair.
On the other hand, just because someone doesn’t have the same amount of time to invest into a video game shouldn’t mean they shouldn’t play video games at all. We can all agree it benefits everyone to have a healthy server population.
Anyways, I just want to close in saying to everyone try to look at the bright side of life and appreciate what you have, instead of focusing on all the bad things. Try to enjoy this new expansion and enjoy the game.
These forums are a fraction of a fraction of the games playerbase. This is where the loudest criers, trolls and others go to complain about everything blizz does.
I wouldn’t let the negativity here taint your hype or make you think the community as a whole isn’t hyped. It is or there wouldn’t be such a frantic rush for everyone to get ready for prepatch/launch.
Just remember OP, a lot of what made the game great then was the community and the general attitude towards playing the game. The community has changed drastically.
You wouldn’t see complaining if people weren’t excited. People are upset because they’re passionate about classic TBC and deeply invested in its success. You make it sound like complaining means people aren’t interested. If people weren’t excited you’d see NO complaining because no one would care enough to make posts.
These people on the forums who are passionate will all disappear just like they did with classic, once they see how the game is being played. That is assuming they didn’t play classic and were waiting for tbc.
I don’t understand your intent with this statement. I played Vanilla and Classic (I’m old). In Vanilla my WSG queues were 5 hours long. In Classic they were 10min long. In Vanilla there were two guilds on my server clearing BWL effectively. In Classic there were literal trade chat pugs clearing BWL every day of the week. In Vanilla it was difficult to find crafters for certain things, you could spend an hour in trade chat having something done. In Classic, the crafters and auction house were nutty, banging 24/7.
My Classic experience was 100% better than my Vanilla experience. Sure there was a world buff meta, and a premade BG meta and a mage-boosting meta and a gDKP with bought gold meta, but those things weren’t the end of the world.
Unfortunately that’s all they know how to do since the inception of the forums. There are like 20 forum goers that have alts and different accounts and all they do is create multiple toons for the purpose of crying on the forums to make it look like something is a bigger deal than it is.
I was excited but because Blizzard added a mount that can be bought for money I’m not…
Just kidding. That doesn’t really make sense to me, why would that kill anyone’s excitement? But yes I can’t wait for pre-patch and tbc. I’m actually off the second week of prepatch so that’s awesome!
I still have the same fun as before cause the fun was doing content with people. The finer details didn’t matter. I joined an AQ20 GDKP drunk as a skunk and it was fun af. I wish I could remember the raid leaders name to raid with em again.
The fact feral druid on 5/18 literally goes supersayan mode with mangle and all the QoL changes has me super hyped. I tested it on PTR, feral hits like a tank.
Normally positive threads aren’t on the forums because those experiencing positivity have no reason to protest and voice their opinion…they are just busy enjoying the game.
