Itās not even that. Blizz themselves have done better before. They raised the bar themselves.

Yup, and not only that but theyāve changed armor sets post release so not only is it not too much to ask but itās also within their means. Still probably wonāt happen, but $15/month says Iām atleast entitled to an opinion on the product.

And they encourage feedback. They arenāt hyper-sensitive about it. Iāve done disability testing for them. They want to know peopleās feedback.

No, no connections here. I just sign up when they need people to test features. Years and years ago some of my friends worked for Blizz, but none do now.

I hate SOD classic Plunder etc. because of that fractions they are not caring enough with retail

Youāre not right, or wrong, and neither you or the panda and other troll are the authority on whatās ātroll.ā Your OP is just an opinion, which shouldnāt need to be said but some people are treating it as fact.
I think the troll heritage armor is a fine set. Not the best one, but definitely a good one. Minus the hat, which is really dumb looking, but like I saidā¦ I turn off the hat on a few of the sets so thatās not a big deal to me.
Troll is the only race whose heritage doesnt match their established heritage armor shown in lore.
If tauren got plate armor and bull symbols and you just accepted that because the lords of blizz said so, than you donāt care about lore or actual authentic heritage either.
Just because people decide something doesnt mean its great or ātrollā as you say but this heritage is patently dishonestly to actual Troll heritage and looks like it was boringly made so they wouldnt have to make a censored set for china and they just thought the mask looked cool.
I pay my sub and have been a troll enthusiast for years and this just aint genuine, I honestly think very little to no consideration was done to the actual troll heritage.

Thatās fair enough, keep going then, best of luck. I saw more complaints/feedback about worgen heritage and it obviously didnāt have an impactā¦ Iāll say again that I donāt think something like this is going to be changed at the 11th hour. (literally 6 days from releasing)
Iāll also say plenty of people like it, and that doesnāt make them wrong, it makes it subjective. I like the spikes, the bones, the masks. You act as though every single race had an armor set in a book/game that was clearly defined as heritage armor, and the only job of the wow art team was to model it. Thatās 100% not the case.
And, while Iām here, the idea of jumping into a post about the heritage armor from the forums where most posts are decidedly negative and counting feedback is extremely biased, you know that right?
Anyways, if it changes, Iām ok, if it stays Iām ok. If by some miracle you get what you want, Iām happy for you, sincerely.

Yup, couple that with the way the mask clips into the lady Trolls chest, itās probably gonna look crazy when the women run. Talk about sloppy, not sure why anyone would suggest something so poorly executed is good.

Glad to hear it, and I totally respect your opinion and Iām happy that youāre happy with the set. Since Iām familiar with the concepts each piece is based on I can tell you as a fact each piece on itās own is in fact not a 1 for 1 copy and thatās ok, but the pieces they delivered took creative liberties with each and all removed features that made the original designs unique to Troll heritage, thatās not an opinion the examples are listed in the post.
Iām definitely not the authority on what is Troll, but objective truth and reality do exist, if I ask you for a German traditional Lederhosen art render and you provide an improvised German landsknecht with creative liberty, it is objectively inaccurate. Sure theyāre both German, and they have shirts, that have sleeves and laces, and they both have hats so theyāre similar. For some people that would be good enough but to people who actually care about accuracy itās going to fall short of our expectations.
As I said in my post, I think itās fine as āAā Troll set just not the Heritage set. Thereās a decent chance weāre not going to be seeing too many Troll sets introduced in the game going forward so I donāt think itās unreasonable to expect something better, see the thing about Troll Armor is there are lots of cool things they wore canonically that Troll enthusiasts have wanted to see in the game for a long time, the potential here was off the chart. They chose to take creative liberty and although they came back with something Trollish it doesnāt really callback to Troll Heritage in any meaningful way at all. Frankly itās more of a place holder. I agree that whether or not you like it, or think itās good is a matter of taste, the set failing to showcase Darkspear Heritage is not a matter of opinion itās a fact, there isnāt a single piece on here that accurately depicts an existing concept as it pertains to Darkspear heritage. Likewise some pieces are objectively plain on par with WoW Classic level texturing and design. The amount of effort it would have taken to bring this set from meh to amazing was very minimal, and it wouldnāt even require much change.
Great news! They announced there will be 2 alternative Helm options in the 10.2.7 Patch Notes! Bad news is the rest of the set including this version of the set will seemingly be going live. I hope the other two are better!

This is excellent news! Iām gonna have to check that out. Hopefully one of the options is the same just under the nose and covering the cheeks. This mask was cool in concept if they were gonna insist on creating something unique they just failed miserably to implement it.
I feel ya, considering most people donāt keep up with WoWhead leaks the majority of the base wonāt even learn about the sets appearance till the 11th hour, Iād expect if any changes were to happen theyād happen after it goes live if at all.
Absolutely, couldnāt agree more. Iāll tell you the same thing I told the others. I totally agree with you and knew this going in, but without any official polling from Blizzard and no proper platform on which to conduct it this is just about the best we could hope for. Non controversial posts get no traction on the forums.
** I totally agree, The data itself is anecdotal at best, and the method by which it was obtained leaves much to be desired but with 97 people saying thereās something wrong that needs to be changed compared to only 13 saying itās perfectly fine Iād say itās a safe bet that the consumer on average is not impressed with the effort put in to product we paid for.** Youād have to be A.) trying to make it bad or B.) hardly trying at all, or C.) Completely unfamiliar with the concepts your work is based on and therefore not suited for the project, to result in such an obvious blunder. or D.) An AI pooping out a concept art.
Good news is it looks like weāll at least have options on the helm!
All I wanted and expected was for them to finally add Troll beards to make up for the fact a Vanilla race had to wait until last for their heritage armour. But nope too lazy.
