Honestly I always hope they’ll go just a little step further and add some fan service stuff like this but then they never do. It’s never anymore than the barest minimum with these cats. Troll beards would be off the chart, a nice WC3 Rokhan beard that reaches your shins would be sickkkkkk

I imagine the Troll beards would take quite a bit of work since they’d have to manage the clipping on a bunch of helms. I don’t expect we’ll ever see them added but you never know, I would be so stoked if they hooked us up with beards.
Watching that animation of the Troll running would go well with Henry Mancini’s Baby Elephant walk

Maybe I’m in the minority here, but I dont understand why Blizzard just doesnt pick their most popular concept art for all races and just make the set JUST LIKE THE PICTURE. No new interpretation, no new bells and whistles, just a 1:1 transfer. Would be so much better imo

I’d be fine with that, in a few cases they did that and it worked out well.

Worked pretty well for the Blood Elf Heritage, that was pretty much identical to a lot of the old art and any changes they made were most textural improvements

Looks like they spent 20 minutes googling Darkspear concept arts, said I got this and were given 4 hours to make the set.

Anyone actually familiar with the Darkspear knows we like tall back rigs, skulls, and we’re not big on swords.
It would pretty much need to be done like you said, assuming it was a human designer not an AI, which human is most likely but I’m not counting out AI.

designer doesnt know trolls are primitive race. they think trolls are after cata orcish sub race.
it just looks orgrimmar grunt set with gold dye.

I’m having a hard time using these links. Is the back rigs? It’s been well known how long we’ve wanted some of these amazing back rigs for a very long time. Which is exactly why I have my doubts about the individual who designed this set. This should have been an easy win.
The set is fine, if they just delete the stupid elephant nose

I wonder what kind of oversight goes into this kind of this, does the designer get the final say if it’s good enough or does quality control look it over? Makes you wonder.
